Given how catastrophically bad this season is going for me (and some others) and lack of cash, I'm wondering whether I need to sneak in some decidedly sub-standard players just to fill up the 22 with non-rookies who will actually play. I can't really see myself finding the $$$ to buy all the premiums I need.

Anyone think there's any value in cheaping out on:

Lycett (R/F)
Ceglar (with McEvoy out)
Gresham
Howe
Greene
Westhoff (R/F)
Darling

Gawd, it's a pretty sorry looking bunch.

God they all suck.

How much cash you got for a player?

I can make other moves, buy a rook and a premium, I was just exploring options to "make my money go further". I am eyeing either Boak or Lloyd this week, but I'm still scrabbling with absolute JUNK on field like Answerth, Parker (or Young), Clark, etc. Seeing if there's anyone out there sub $400k (for instance) who might actually score whilst leaving an extra $150k or so in the kitty to make future moves. Most of those guys have shown scoring ability before, but fully agree none fill me with any confidence at all.

Post team in the trades Fred.
But try to get the better players.

Eg in the forward line this year you need at least 3 of boaky TKelly danger and heens they will come good.
Backs at least 2 of Lloyd Hurn whitfeild then the others larid Stewart etc.

its a sad state of affairs when Toby Greene is the best of your 7 options. :(

Have to start either Answerth or Lockhart onfield. Can't loop then unfortunately as they have to be on different lines.
Leaning toward Lockhart as Melbourne are at home and Brisbane play interstate.

I hear you but Parker BE in now 35 after pulling a 70 out of his crack.
Denends what the extra cash goes too.
Just the bank atm
Parker will only go up a little bit, unless he gets 70+ again

515k to spend on a defender, midfielder or forward.

Boak, Stewart, Houli, Martin, M. Crouch, Shiel, Rich and Shiel are my options I'm considering but am open to other ideas.
Boak or Stewart. Make the decision based on your bye situation and which rookie it leaves on field (def rookie vs fwd rookie on field)

Any of these 4.

Boak vs Dunkley
Dunkley
