LAST WARNING

The mod bashing has got to stop

One more mod bashing post and this thread gets closed permanently.

If you have an issue with a modding decision, where it be here or elsewhere, take it up with that mod or contact site admin.

Mods are unpaid volunteers volunteering their time to keep this place running smoothly. Try to respect that. Yeah, we dont always get things right, but most here are just trying to do whats best for everyone. Its impossible for mods to make everyone happy, and for every decision a mod makes, there is always going to be someone who disagrees.

Mod bashing never solves anything and it is simply disrespectful to those who take the time to volunteer for this place.

its probably three factors at work

1) player strength and conditioning (initial )
2) injury rehabilitation
3) list depth/ young player development

we have had low soft tissue injuries 1)

we seem to have a good record with players coming back from injury 2) and 3)
we have built good depth and dont have to rush players back

Brendon Fktard piles on.

The salt is strong in this one.

At least Dylan Grimes won't be remembered as a loser Brendon. Lol

Edit: just saw that this was posted yesterday. Anyway saaaaalllltt !

Oh dear. Another media pundit who doesn't seem to realize that when the AFL tribunal finds you not guilty, and the MRO reviews an incident and decides there is no case to answer, you can't then use those two incidents to claim a pattern of behaviour by a player.

Seriously, the simple fact is that Grimes is NOT GUILTY of serial staging regardless of how much Cornes, Goddard, and whoever else want him to be.

4 years isn't luck haha. It's good management and credit to Burge and the team.
It's a combination of player conditioning and management and people can be more susceptible to injuries than others.

If Collingwood recruit injury prone players and have poor conditioning of players then they shouldn't be surprised if they have players missing for extended stints.

Luck does play a part, but if the same thing keeps on happening for several years it's a pattern, not luck.

We don’t train on concrete 🤣

For those who don't want to watch, their trump is danger in the forward line. That's nice we know where he is generally, just need to get the satellite in and a team of sniffer dogs to locate him. He's missing since the prelim.

It seems to me that when Danger played in their forward line against us two weeks ago it didn't turn out to be all that much of a trump card.

Two words - Daniel Wells

just remembered about that time dusty threw it to jiewoldt in the brisbane final and then oppos were calling for him to be suspended for it

such delicious delusional salt
adding to the fact that the holding the ball/incorrect disposal rule is all but dead this year if he does it again there will be oppo fans whose heads will literally explode if it happens again

Nuffies love facts, it's hilarious watching them try to invent something to try prove themselves right. This one will get them fired up

Pies fans are another fan base that need to demand better from thier own Club instead of blaming us. They did a review into thier medical dept. last yr & are still having the same injuries with the same players.....

Anyone else find it hilarious that Goddard actually thinks Grimes gives a shit about what he and the media thinks about him? I mean seriously, I’m sure he finds plenty of comfort in his 2 premiership medals. (Hopefully 3 at the end of this year).

Exactly. Grimes will be quite comfortable with his CV when he retires. And his winery.

Best Goddard could manage was captaining a club that had no other suitable captains because they were all suspended for drug cheating. As soon as they returned he was out of that job.

Very hard man when it comes snacks though.

Delicious 😋

Anyone else a little curious as to the media’s unwillingness to go hard on Melbourne for their little bit of gtab-arse in the huddle on Saturday, and then Bennell’s quarantine breach also over the weekend? The double standards at work here, when you consider how much grief Short/Vlastuin/Chol and Stack/CCJ got for similar indiscretions, are very conspicuous.
