LAST WARNING

The mod bashing has got to stop

One more mod bashing post and this thread gets closed permanently.

If you have an issue with a modding decision, where it be here or elsewhere, take it up with that mod or contact site admin.

Mods are unpaid volunteers volunteering their time to keep this place running smoothly. Try to respect that. Yeah, we dont always get things right, but most here are just trying to do whats best for everyone. Its impossible for mods to make everyone happy, and for every decision a mod makes, there is always going to be someone who disagrees.

Mod bashing never solves anything and it is simply disrespectful to those who take the time to volunteer for this place.

In fairness to Sheeds here he had applied for the vacant coaching position when Gary March came out and said that there is no way his application would be considered.

I think I'd be pretty annoyed too if I'd applied for a position in good faith only to find out that the head man had, behind my back and whilst my application was still in process, come out and said I had no chance.

Personally, I think the tension between Sheeds and the club is just one more consequence of the off-field dysfunction that defined Punt Road up until the last decade. Yeah, he's a miserable campaigner, but if I was in his shoes I probably would be too.

EDIT: There's a whole lot more to this story, but the above will do for now.
Sheedy can go **** himself what team was he supporting on grand final day.

I thought he just got told he’d have to go through the full interview process like everybody else and he spat the dummy because he thought he was above it.

There's no doubt in my mind that there was a bit of ego from Sheed's side, but just as a matter of chronology he didn't pull his application until after March's comments became public.

Maybe Sheed's just used that as an excuse, I really don't know.

My bigger point was that it really was just one more bit of evidence as to how badly we were doing on and off the field.

I suspect that there were so many different opinions and perspectives that every event from that period is recalled in multiple versions and you can probably find people who will swear that it was all Sheed's fault and those who will swear it was none of his doing. I'm kind of middle of the road. I reckon there was fault on all sides.

Probably the one thing we can agree on is that it's good to see that sort of rubbish consigned to the scrap bin of history. No way do I want the club to ever return to that state and I'm so grateful for the current board and admin for the way they go about things. I'm also pretty satisfied with our current coach too! :)

Instead of constantly complaining about the draw, it would be nice to see a Weegirls supporter offer some sort of solution.

I'd love to see their idea of a "fair" draw if only for the LOLs.
West Coke fans whinging about how often the Eagles have to travel but conveniently overlook that West Coast voted against including a 3rd Perth team in the comp.

Sheedy has not been a Richmond person since he retired from playing and same with Malthouse

They should have nothing to do with Richmond again imo both have just used our bad times to increase their own contracts and are not Richmond legends in my eyes
it is funny Wayne Harmes is a carltoon legend and he is more of a richmond person than old man sheedy

WAYNE Harmes is hardly your regular former league star given he now admits during his 169-game Carlton career he remained a Richmond supporter, that despite winning three premierships with the Blues "I was an employee of the Carlton Football Club and that's all".

Funny, its vfl when richmond win but AFL PREMIERS 2018 when they win. fu** off west coke you arrogant shitcampaigners.
Biggest flipping sooks out there, complain we play 13 at the g this year (H&A) when they get 12 at their stadium, where 10 of those are clear home ground advantage to them, where we get maybe 4 or 5. They’re so arrogant, thought they were gonna smash it when they got their Nic nat back...yeh we all know what happened there

Can someone actually put together the retrospective hardness of draw thing? It's kinda annoying that oppo complain about charmed draw yet played 4th, 5th, 2nd, 2nd, 1st in the run into the grand final lol 5 games against the 4 best other clubs. Couldn't play ourselves lol
WWWWWWWWWWWW

Just agree with the narrative is my conclusion and and just say how fantastic it was, it pisses them off no end.

It's the Aussie way, whinge about everything and it's everyone elses fault.

Luckily most of the clubs are not run by supporters or we'd be in the courts sorting out who should be in the GF each year
Lol, Aussies started sooking up 10 years ago when rudd/gillard started to make us cry.

Won a flag no one cares about.
Get sucked off by Pies supporters all year for stopping us.
Don't go back to back and no one cares.
Don't get sucked off by Pies supporters anymore cause they are too busy felating themselves over stopping the 3peat.
