Not much detail.

Could be anything from a sprain with ligament damage to a fracture or Liber type injury of 2016.

The suggestion of a stint seems to hint a longer period on the sidelines. Definitely not a sprain where may miss a week or two.

I love your thinking. A forward is a forward because that is his specialty. They should have thought about that before trying Woody there last year.

Woody at full forward is a guaranteed premiership. woody either plays full-forward or CHF. he demonstrated that last year.

He’s not, yet.

However, hand on heart, if I had to pick one of them to play for the Dogs this year it would be Williams. JJ has pace and a great long kick. Williams has that and more. He’s going to absolutely rip shit up this year.

Also, from what I saw last season, the Lipinski file is a handy forward, he knows how to play when your scoring end is behind you. He's turning into the most interesting footballer, he looks like he is going to be a beefy type more than a speedster. He's got an overhead game, he's a good ball handler. Lot's of hand and foot skills.

So he’s beefy, looks good and can handle a few balls.... he’ll be a hit at the Mardi Gras!

Williams work in the contest is huge but JJ is in a league of his own when it comes to line breaking and penetration.

Williams best footy will be in the midfield IMO. The quicker we throw him in there full-time the better. I also see Richards ultimately playing as an outside mid/wing as well.

Unfortunately with this JJ injury we will probably need them both down back.

Syndesmosis injuries suck. We could be looking at up to 2 months on the sidelines for JJ. Libba came back in only 5 weeks in 2016 from his Syndesmosis injury, but that was extremely rushed for the finals, and Libba is tough as nails. I think we will be much more cautious with JJ.

Man, I love the way we have built this list; drafting our guns and trading for our role players. It’s how you end up with a list of Bontempelli, Macrae, English, Naughton, Richards, Smith etc. all set to enter their prime within a few years of each other. The hardest part is going to be keeping them all happy financially.

Unfortunately with this JJ injury we will probably need them both down back.

One of our more stacked positions though. Williams, Richards, Crozier, Suckling, Duryea, Lynch could all play there.
