Hardly. They stink. The whole team is shit apart from Cripps and Curnow, that much is fairly certain.


As for Newman, he's had one season averaging 82 and the other 72.... i don't really see how that appeals in any way shape or form.

Anyone can change clubs and go, "I'm gonna play the QB role across half back brooooo......" but it rarely actually pans out that way.


Take Wilson for example. Heard the same thing about him last year, yet his move to Freo increased his average a whopping 4ppg from 76 to 80.

QB role brooooooooo. It's a fantasy.

Even if Newman plays the QB role he is going to be more of a shit Blake Bortles rather than a Tom Brady

Houli is an interesting one, I'd probably stay away personally because Short was taking a lot of his points last year and he has been a bit injury prone recently

Okay - My V1.1 for 2019.
Round 14 bye causing some issues, I do like the team as a whole however.

I personally think the rule changes will make a difference to defenders, I'm strongly considering going a bit of mid price madness in that area as I think a lot of value is to be had.

Round 14 Bye issues? You’re taking the piss right? You probably would have used 18-22 trades by then. I’m confident your team will look remarkably different to what it starts at. This whole planning for Bye’s 3.5 months out is absurd. Worry about it in Round 9.

Thoughts on Brodie Smith?

Cheap as, likely getting a full preseason after coming in late last year. However off an ACL and with Milera off the hbf he may not return to ~2014 scoring.

Lots of injury discounted picks floating around in Greene, Roberton, Birchall, Libba, Crouch etc etc

Pretty much going to wait for jlt before whipping up at team

I agree ...however if your "keepers" are loaded too much to one bye round, you can't adjust that with trades (sideways) ....have to get the balance of keepers "reasonable" .......Rookies ? (MEH !)

Depends. Keepers get injured. Keepers turn out not to be keepers. Midpricers turn out to be spuds.

You can have 12 people missing in a Bye week and still have a full team. Most teams start with 12-14 keepers. It’s possible, but highly unlikely, that every one of your starting keepers have the same Bye.

Agree, better off nailing the better options. I think the bye is best used as a 'tiebreak' when you can't split two players in your team.

Good side, as you've said, depends on final Rookies selected .....would question having two premium Rookies in DEF ; Collins and Williamson ? ...but understand all rookies are fluid ATS

I'm a Crow supporter & Smith hasn't crossed my mind ......even his best years, he's only returned mid 80's scores .....had one year ave 93, but I wouldn't be betting on that being repeated

If for example Smith did have a great SC year ....Laird will suffer accordingly

Jimmy had a really good start to last season, before all his injury problems affected his scores and average .....still finished with a 87 average, despite the 13 score in R13 and ordinary last 6 games
