Very interested to see how Jones and Ned perform given the change to reduce rotations.
All we heard at the draft and after we drafted them was how they can run run run run and to date if we are honest we havnt seen much more than that.
This change is an opportunity to use a skill set as a performance advantage... Will they take it.

It’s not just inside knowledge, he doesn’t watch prospects that much anymore. He thinks Newchurch should go 25-30

Are we drafting these SA kids because they are the best option at each pick or because they are SA ?

I wouldn’t be overly happy with those selections other than Perkins with our blown out pick 9

Milera was not a reach , he was possibility to him inside he top 10.

I thought we should bid on Campbell but what stops them trading pick 3 to GC for 2021 1st and take Campbell with points.
Then 10 minutes latter GC trade pick 5 for Sydney 2021 1st.

Its a bloody rort

That is exactly what they would do. That’s what the system allows and Sydney have always been good operators

no I agree, we have always gone for who we think regardless of where they are from. Passed on Hately in ‘18 and traded out of 4 which lost us Stephens last year. It’s why I have never thought we are really any chance to take Tillthorpe, but there certainly is plenty of pressure on them to.

Essendon seem to rate him
long term Cox v Thilthorpe prob a better comparison than McDonald v Thilthorpe given the types they are

I did say maybe. The point is I can’t think of a time when we picked an SA boy in the first 25 picks where we overreached for him

And yet every third comment on here about RT is we would only pick him because he is local. Where are all these examples of us doing that in the past?

I don't think we have a pick in his range unless we stretched a bit with pick 9....sees his best position as Centre half back but he could probably play forward with his versatility, still aways of AFL KPP body wise so would need some patience, I thought Essendon were on the Zach Reid train.
