NOTE TO ALL...
it's "HOLLANDS, not "HOLLAND'S", unless you are talking about something that belongs to Ben HOLLAND
Blah blah

1 JUH WB
2 Mcdonald ADL
3 Hollands NTH
4 DGB SYD
5 Campbell SYD
6 Phillips HAW
7 Reid GCS
8 Thilthorpe ESS
9 Bruhn FRE
10 Henry CAR
11 Jones PA
12 Perkins ADL

Thats the way I see it going if we don't trade up.
Reckon this is pretty close to the mark, although I think North take a tall ahead of Hollands.

Agree North will take a tall with Brown leaving. If we take McDonald, North will take Thilthorpe or vice versa. That means the Swans will have the choice of Hollands, DGB, Phillips at 3(4) and leaving Hawthorn with a choice of the two left. That makes it's even more important we get our hands on pick 5 as we will get one of Hollands, DGB or Phillips at that pick.
Swans may either take another mid (in addition to Campbell) with Kennedy and Parker aging which would give them a choice of Hollands or Phillips or because they have a mid already(Campbell) take DGB. This would leave Hollands and Phillips available for the Hawks. Either way there will be a good player at 5.

I'm concerned with a significant lack of depth in the mids for next year.
Most likely Gallucci and Poholke are delisted, and Mackay likely to stay (based on Kelly's previous comments)
My reading is that leaves us with 10/11 midfielders: Jones (also forward), Crouch, Sloane, Seedsman (not even selected anymore), Mackay, Schoenberg, Keays, Laird, O'Connor, Sholl and Hately - with Milera coming in off half-back
After McDonald (I'd prefer him over RT), we should be solely focusing on bolstering the mids, and i'd be saving a rookie spot or two for some bigger, older, delisted bodies (ala Keays and Crocker).

9 and 14 in this draft > pick 6

Agreed
If we want 5 from GC, we need to make a bold call and look to trade an established player that brings them closer to the 8. Given their midfield, I only see Laird and Smith as they guys on our list that could get it done

Midfield depth and variety is another reason I'm keen on Hollands. Our mix for centre square options isn't great. Too many same types that can't do much else. Playing similar types all at once, purely because of where they sat on our talent list has made our midfield look worse than what I think it is.

Need some dynamic players. This is where I really hope Jones improves, and Shoenberg starts to hit the scoreboard. Perkins is the other in our draft range that fits this bill.

Not sure if its me, I took it as Gold Coast moving out of the top 10
It's actually hard from that snippet to know what he really means...Cryptic crosswords never a strength of mine.

That is more than likely a top 3 pick in a very strong draft... no way we are trading out next years first

Lets say we take Tilthorpe at 2 andit gets to Gold Coasts pick and Hollands is still there, do you swap our 2021 first for Him? People on here are saying Hollands is a possible number 1 pick this year. You get an extra year into developing the player

I wouldn't, we then give up any chance we have to get Horne next year (or any of the other highly rated mids available). We have to think of the end game, this rebuild will take another couple of drafts. No need to go all in this year.

I heard the back end of the interview. What I took is that due to limited list space, they aren't looking to go big in this year's draft and are open to trading for future picks. They have a strong NGA pool next year and want the points to access them.

Our future first should 100% be out of the question (all in for Horne), but if we could acquire another one we could package with other future assets and try a move for 5?

If Hollands is available at 5 you would do a pick swap with GC. Pick 9 and another pick for 5. If he is available GC may grab him themselves though.

With the draft being socially distanced, I just hope they don't take the selections by text message. Because you just know what will happen...

AFL: Pick 1, Adelaide Crows

Crows: Elijah Holland's

AFL: There is no Elijah Holland's in the draft

AFL: Adelaide forfeit Pick 1

Crows: :poo:

AFL: Pick 2: North Melbourne

North: Elijah Hollands :p

AFL: Elijah Hollands for North

AFL: Pick 3...
