Surely the threat of the psd means that we won't be handing over anything lower than pick 40. Would prefer we don't even hand that over and just take him in the psd. Would be payback for taking Davis.

GWS might have 4 picks in the 1st round this year. We might be hoping to do some business with them still this year.

Knowing how we roll we will hand over 23 before any deal is done and GWS won't answer the phone.
 
Got a feeling I know why Melbourne traded for our pick 33. If they want that Bulldogs pick they could offer 26 and 31 which beats our offer of 22 and 40 (if we were thinking that). They may well think pick 33 gets ben Brown done as well and if they did get 14, it gives them back the 1st rounder they traded out with North last year
