We’ll be all in on Jason Horne next year
South Adelaide mid
Has said that he's a keen Poos supporter but.

Otherwise, all aboard the Horne train...

Not that I think it is likely, and truth be told I don't even know if I would want this but if Sydney offered you guys pick 3 in exchange for your 2021 first rounder would that be something Adelaide would consider?
I would if we got hollands and mac donald or tillthorpe

I wonder if this could be a viable alternative ... take Hollands with our first pick and get into Tilly's ear that we'll do our best to get him home in two years' time.

Thankfully there's no chance of Port drafting him this year.
I think in 2 years we will be in the ears of Lukosious and Rankine as their contracts both finish end of season 2022

Not straight up no, the draft next year will be better and we will be top 3 then. I'd say if offered your first next year as well, then we would take it. We can throw in 40 for your extra points too ;)

I'll be in the minority, but I would.

I'd then try and get Collingwood's 14 + 2021 pick with 9 + 23.

Then we'd have 1, 3, 14, 22 this year. Every possibility Collingwood implode next year and it's a Top 10 pick.

I think we only have one rookie in total - I think they've merged those rookie lists into one?
The AFL still differentiates between Cat A and Cat B rookies.

The following limitations apply in 2021, according to the recent article on The Age website:
Cat A: 0-4
Cat B: 0-3
Max Cat A + B = 6
Total List Sizes (senior + Cat A + Cat B) = 37-44

We currently have 3x Cat A rookies - Keays, Butts, Strachan.

Well I think Channel 10 interviewed best mates McDonald and O'Driscoll, and O'Driscoll let slip that the Crows had spoken to his parents and said we'd 'do our best to keep the boys together'........

This was before the decision on the Brad Crouch compo though, so it's fair to say our strategy has probably changed since then.

Regardless, we either genuinely DO have strong interest in McDonald, or we're at least projecting that we do.
My gut feel is that we were looking at Hollands & McDonald with #1 and #2, then O'Driscoll with #9. Then the Brouch FA compo didn't happen...

Hollands was born in Adelaide and spent the first eight years of his life here.

Presented himself very well on SEN this morning. Seems to be confident but has a good sense of humility too. Absolute Captain material, in my opinion.

Said he'd prefer to get to the Crows but that 'playing for Adelaide generally means you have to live there as well...'

Seems keen to represent the Club he's grown up supporting, but not too thrilled at the prospect of having to live here!

I just listened to it & he is obviously fine living here, as he has expressed in other interviews. I don't understand how you came to that conclusion given what he exactly said.

yes I would as we don't know exactly where the 2021 pick falls and the chance to grab 2 x top end kids this year - both who happen to be Crows fans and both with big links to South Australia would be a huge opportunity

Knightmare's latest phantom draft has bids coming for Newchurch & Edwards at 44 & 46 (coming in before our pick 40 which he has predicted will blow out to 48)
AFL Draft: ESPN's two-round phantom draft

... and no sign of Borlase in his top-48. As usual, he's fallen into the trap of thinking Adelaide will focus primarily on SA players. We haven't done that for years.

So basically 'Knightmare' has just gone for whichever SA kid was around Adelaide's picks at the time.
Complete crap.

Because my interpretation of what he said is a bit different to yours, that's all.

It appears to me Knighta has started drinking his own bathwater a bit of late?
