So fox sports seem to be pushing the angle of taking Hately in the PSD. No doubt that is pure speculation, but interesting that the stance isn’t “Adelaide better not even think about trying that...

Wonder if that will genuinely be considered by either/both club if they sit down to do a trade for him.
Not our style to go to the PSD .....particularly given the Nicks relationship with GWS

It'll be a 3rd round pick is my guess

It will all get down to Hately naming us as his destination club, until then all balls are still up in the air.

I think his management will be seeking a deal where he's almost guaranteed to be best 22 at whatever club they choose.

I reckon pick 28 will be what's settled on in the end if he chooses us.

Yeah. I’m not in favour of burning bridges. There is a couple of unknowns. Reid might be slightly under the pump. Would he be secure? If he’s not going to be there next year, then it’s not his problem anymore.

The other thing is this Binuk fellow. No idea what his job is but from a pure numbers point of view it’s a no brainer. I’m not saying he would be only thinking like a numbers man, but I really haven’t heard much about him other than he seems to make good pick trades.

Maybe we take the Carlton approach. It’s the only time we’ve actually been in position to do it so there is no precedent really.

He won’t get that guarantee anywhere. But we are rebuilding so that’s a no brainer. You’d think we can offer him a good back ended deal as well, seeing how much we will free up from the TPP in the next 2-3 years.

So Brayden Cook ended up with 5.1 from his 13 disposals and 2021 midfield prospects Matthew Roberts 31 disposals 15 Kicks, 16 Handballs, 6 Marks, 6 Clearances, 5 i'50's, 3 r50's, 2.1....Arlo Draper 20 disposals, 11 Kicks, 9 Handballs, 2 Marks, 5 Clearances, 4 i50's, 2 r50's, 0.1

Atkins FA compensation pick for Hatley...MASSIVE WIN.

Id love it to be the western bulldogs pick. Just because I feel we got screwed and this outcome would be better than I could have imagined. Better than if they dealt fairly with us in the first place.

But yeah, Atkins pick ok too.

No it won’t. There is no way clubs are trading out 2021 first round picks for 2020 first round picks, unless it’s a ridiculously favourable deal like pick 9 plus AFC 2021 2nd rounder for West Coast 2021 1st rounder.
North might, with all the tall timber on offer. I'd say they should be our prime target to deal with during the off season

So Reid is under the pump and about to be sacked, meanwhile Binuk is doing really well with the pick swaps which apparently Reid has nothing to do with.

Righto

I'm thinking Atkins might be end of second but if it's second rounder than give them the Bulldogs 2nd rounder at most but then we have a good trade relationship with GWS so might be a good idea to give them the 2nd rounder for Atkins which will be good reading as we effectively swapped Atkins for Hatley.

Our 2 future NGA's (if the system is retained) with big games for the Roosters Blayne O'Loughlin 31 Disposals, 26 Kicks, 5 Handballs, 8 Marks, 2 Clearances, 1 i50, 7 r50's, 1.0....Isaac Keeler 20 Disposals, 11 Kicks, 9 Handballs, 5 Marks, 4 Tackles, 22 H.O.'s, 2 Clearances, 0.1

In the same game 2020 draftee Tom Powell 33 Disposals, 20 Kicks, 13 Handballs, 5 Marks, 3 Tackles, 9 Clearances, 7 i50's, 1 r50, 0.1

If that were the case, there'd be a pick coming back our way in exchange ....#28 is likely to blow out to 33+ with father/son & NGA's

Probably doesn't affect , as we can use a later pick for Edwards .....just need points

Just watching Jase Burgoyne playing for WWT. F/s at port but they should not have any points when he comes up. I would have a shot based on name alone. Having a great game so far. High possession winner.

Righto

Not what I meant. I’ve only heard about Binuk as working out points based trades. Limited to that scope, the club is doing well. There are many other areas where the club isn’t doing well. Particularly contracts to older guys is my biggest gripe. If Binuk is partly responsible for that, then fair call. But Reid should be under the pump. The age profile of our squad and the contracts we’ve given to older players is poor.

Reid has done some good trades. But list management wise I’m not a fan.
