For starters Caldwell was pick 11 in the same draft Jackson Hately was taken at pick 14.

And pick 28 as it stands is not early 2nd round by the way.

Tom Green ( 19 years 7 months) is actually only 3 months younger than Jackson Hately ( 19 years 10 months) and Jack Buckley is actually 3 years older than Hately at 22 years 9 months.

Yeah.. and if we get compo for brad.. gws might end up losing williams and cameron.. so there 3 more to add.. who else is a FA that could go and net their club a 1st round or end of first round compo?.. Viney?

With this and the Nga’s and Fs.. Pick 21 could very easily end up around 28-30..

RE Hately. IMO if he nominates the Crows, we should offer a fourth rounder at the very best. Take a book out of Dogs with their trading Keath. Also Bloos using PSD to get Martin. Vic. media boffins have said nothing regarding that. In fact they were proud of the Bloos for pulling it off. PR!4KS!

As for trading with GWS- they got that many concessions to begin with. Stole Phil Davis from us. Made us pay way overs for Curtly Hampton and squandered all those players to Vic. teams for peanuts. Scully to Hawks for a 4th rounder just one example.

This time has arrived to get payback, kick THEM while they're down. Make the competition even a bit. They have been looked after since day one.

This time has arrived to get payback, kick THEM while they're down. Make the competition even a bit. They have been looked after since day one.

Bit early for him there IMO, others may think different but I personally think he's likely a mid draft onwards pick.
No Championships is a real bummer with players like Cook to see how they would measure up with the best of the best of their peers.

The crows should chase him. In a year with a compromised draft I think we should trade Atkins compo and our other pick in the 20s for him. Especially if as predicted Hartigan seeks a trade. Harrison fits the right age profile as he will only be in his late 20s if as expected we hit our window. I'm all in.
