5 or 6 home gams out of 10 when we will have had only one proper home game out of the first 7
You would like to think the clubs forced into a hub get to play 9 home games, which at the moment will be WCE, Freo, Port, crows, pies and cats, unless they all spend 3+ weeks in a hub.

Crazy time. I reckon we might not play GWS next week now with them playing Hawthorn, unless the game is played in Sydney. Perhaps more likely is:

Round 6 - we play the Swans in Qld (who are playing the Eagles in Qld this weekend); and
Round 7 - the Saints in Qld (with the saints getting up to Syd after their game on thursday night).

Seems weird that Swans would even be allowed in Queensland this weekend considering they played a Victorian club last weekend... wouldn't that contravene the QLD government rules?

Playing the Saints would make us have to quarantine for two weeks no matter where it is played.

Round 6 - GWS in Sydney
Round 7 - Sydney in Adelaide
Round 8 - Whoever from Victoria is ready to go.

I think if Saints play this Thursday night, then fly to Sydney say Friday or Saturday spend a week there and play round 6 in Sydney, we could play them in QLD (which would be round 7) and which be 14 days after they had last been in Vic.

Lol i hear ya, but really, now that its not GWS, why cant we play it here?
Logically would be completely fine given the Swans won't be playing against Vic teams or in Vic before then. But the AFL doesn't work on logic, so I'm expecting the AFL to schedule it anywhere but here. Might also be subject to the SA government too - I understand they're 'considering' opening up to other states.

It’s actually the only team we can play. Surely they save $ on not flying us back up to Qld.... esp when we are going up week after to most likely play a Carlton or hawthorn ...

Only issue is SA borders are still closed to NSW until July 20. Could possibly be bought forward though as they aren’t having any community transmission.

Ah I knew it was too good to be true. Thanks mate

After the borders are opened to NSW though there is no excuse why we can’t be based out of Adelaide and fly to the games we need to (Obviously no Vic)
The league forcing a switch in fixtures this week could also fix a lot of problems. Make it
Hawks vs Dogs
Cats vs North
Suns vs Giants

now with our restirctions mirroring Qld, we wont be playing GWS. Is there any reason why we cant play Swans here in adelaide next weekend?
SA government wont allow NSW teams to avoid quarantine until 20 July. Would need SA government to give them a Qld type work exemption.

So effectively, for us to be able to get back into Adelaide after R7, it means that Carlton need to hurry up and get on a plane to GC for the hub tomorrow. So they can clear their 14 days out of Vic before we play them.

As much as the Vics have been whinging that will definitely be a tough ask to get an entire club to uproot within a day.

Really looking forward to these next 2 games though, GWS and Brisbane will really show us where we are at.

Im now confused how we can still play the Giants next week in QLD given they play hawks this week. Have QLD given an exemption ?
