Honest answer? At 188cm he's tall for a "small" forward. Chris Scott is convinced having the oldest, tallest team in history is the key to beating Richmond.
Dear god is that why we play Connor Nash? To be the next Gary Rohan?

Fork.

You are a buffoon Torpedo.

Anthony Rocca clearly didn't earn the Leon.

He was the focal point up forward in a Collingwood team that went close to a premiership, despite playing a large portion of it at CHF.

He ALWAYS drew the best defender, which would indicate that the coaches know a lot more about his performance than you do.

But you're a Dogs fan - It wouldn't surprise me if you've forgotten what value a KP forward has.

Reckon the chance to give it to a non-player passed when the Collingwood runner didn't make the 2018 poll.
Erm Anthony rock played for north and hawthorn and was not a key forward

For those who are still trying to decide who to vote for, think of it this way - this will probably be the last time you get a chance to vote Patrick Dangerfield for the Leon Davis medal. Either Geelong won't make it to the Grand Final again before he retires, or if they do, he likely won't be that shithouse again.

This is probably your last chance.

Gary Rohan..... well, you've had 2 chances to vote him for the medal previously. And yes, he probably won't play in another Grand Final, so you probably won't get to vote for him again. But he's Gary Rohan, so who really cares? And if Geelong do make a Grand Final again soon, and he plays, you're guaranteed to be able to vote for him then.

Make your vote count!

You can pick on Rohan for many things but he played a better game than Paddy on the day

Paddy didn't have Tim Kelly their to shoulder ride him to glory

Ignore everything that this man said and maintain the Leon as the bastion of shitness it was always meant to be. When you look at the stats sheet, you'll know what to do. #votegary

I thought Grimes was on both Rohan and Dangerfield forward match up. In which case Grimes comfortably won his position and was nowhere near WOG. Some of the takes on Grimes because he got low disposals are ridiculous.

Balta turned it over a bit but he and Astbury kept Hawkins quiet so that's a pass. Taylor and Henderson beat Lynch and Riewoldt. Stewart, O'Connor and Baker all won their spots. Defenders are hard done by. Slippery conditions helped them but none of them were close to WOG.

People are nominating Grimes?

Lol unbelievable

Crankyhawk, the thread about Anthony Rocca (mistaken for Anthony Rock) being the worst 200 game player in history is one of the best things ever written on this site. Haven't you seen it?

This was made in 2018:

...and considering his 76 votes this year, G.Rohan has likely polled more Leon Davis votes at a career level than anyone in history.

Davis for the first 2010 game. Though he did manage to kick a crucial goal, lol.

I'm not sure Davis deserves it in 2003. He still managed 10 disposals and 1 goal which isn't terrible in a side that's getting smashed (remember disposal counts as a rule was quite a lower in 2003 than it is now). Lonie should win it for 4 touches in 84% of gametime.

05 is a difficult one as like 2018 the ones that had stinkers were shit anyway. I guess Gaspar's a fair enough call but he just seems too much of a random to win it.

Most of the other ones make sense though if Riewoldt wins 2010 for the smother, Mooney should win 08 for shit kicking.

What performance was worse - Lynch in 04 or Ballantyne in 13?

Mooney definitely 2008, he actually kicked his team out of it.

Ballantyne was worse than Lynch. At least the Lions were going for a 4th on the trot & Lynch had been through wars. Balla in his and Freo’s first GF repeatedly did more harm than good whenever he got near it.

Harry Taylor very underrated here. Basically limped around behind the contest all night. No idea why he played. It was a Josh Jenkins-like performance. Sad.

We have a winner, congratulations Patrick Dangerfield for being worst on ground, the Leon Davis award is yours for 2020...

I didn't make it for the poll, but would have voted Danger.

Day of infamy for him, WOG for mine.

Deserved winner.

I think this should put the 'rename the medal' sulking to bed too with Rohan never winning a Leon despite having 3 opportunities to do so.

Has to be dual winners. Also highly suspicious polling for Dangerfield in the last couple days. Rohan was the clear leader out of the blocks.
the last few days saw a rise in Danger votes after the Gellonk fans rewatched the game ;)
