No fine or report for the thug that had a cheap shot at the back of Walsh’s head while he was not looking.

****ing joke of a process

Anyone know when the MRO will fine our player $500 for diving over Shuey‘s leg to try and get a free kick?

Surprise surprise not ...

Tripping is ok now & only a fine WTF!

Luke Shuey, West Coast Eagles, has been charged with Tripping Ed Curnow, Carlton, during the fourth quarter of the Round 11 match between the West Coast Eagles and Carlton, played at Optus Stadium on Sunday August 9.

In summary he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Intentional Conduct, Low Impact and Body Contact. The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction as a first offence. The player can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.

Shuey gets a $1,000 fine for tripping Curnow.

That tripping action is significantly more dangerous than any player showing faux tough-guy aggression towards an opponent by pushing them after they've done something wrong.

Yet guess which one they want to stamp out because it's not a good look or it's against the spirit of the game.

Give me a ****ing break.

Consequences of an action such as Shueys ( tripping ) or throwing a boot at another player can be significant as we saw with a similar action on Zac Fisher which resulted in a fractured leg yet the AFL treat this as a nothing to see here issue .
Guess we will continue to see these actions AFL truly is a pathetic organisation .
Or simply its Carlton play on wtf was going through the umpires mind on this one to call play on..

I think a fine is reasonable. After receiving media attention, understandable that they don't necessarily want to be seen as approving this type of technique.

It's a small fine with the main intent to act as a deterrent to the broader audience, don't see any issue personally.
