Wait. so AmericanCrow has to cheer for the Steelers, because Browns make it with a win and Colts loss.

Nice try. Colts win ensures we win division next Sunday

We don’t need anyone’s help to get in the playoffs as 2 wins does the trick regardless

Screw Pittspuke

Plus this sets up a perfect scenario

Miami wins next week, coupled with Colts win today

Victory next Sunday simultaneously wins AFC North and knocks out the Ratbirds

Ahh yes, the taking a knee to kick a FG rather than score the TD approach. why book the playoff birth today when we can put the fans through the stress of either winning the division nextweek or feeling glad to not need cancel early January holiday plans Browns fans book 12 months in advance.

It was the right call. Funny how poor defense can make the right call look bad.

Certainly the same crappy defense that gave up a 40 yard pass to a wide open receiver with 20 seconds left, all of a sudden is perfectly capable of preventing a td with over a minute left.

Sure

Browns WR-less could lose to Jets and then again Steelers, whilst Ravens have two easier games vs Giants and Bengals. Could very well be Browns who miss out :(

Mind you, i have a feeling Giants could upset the Ravens :)

Browns aren’t losing to Jets

it does kinda have a macabre feeling about a Jets win. It costs them even more in the draft, might lead to a Gase extension. Other than the players in the Jets locker room, the entire building wanted them to go 0-16

As for asking for help

Naah, I prefer helping yourself.

Winning is much sweeter than backing in like...ohhh say a team like

You dont play for the FG. everyone knows the Raiders D is trash and just gave up a huge play on a busted coverage, it was going to happen again. you score and then protect the endzone its easier than just protecting the 35-40yds to get in FG range. make them march the 75yds without a timeout.
everyweek we see teams give up the easy outs about 15yds deep to prevent a Gregggggggg Williams situation.

What does it say that I have to teach you guys that which you love so much??

;)

Btw, what i also loved was Dolphins End Van Ginkel, on the second Carr sack....he started smiling with crazy eyes (like trolling Carr) probably making a noise too, about four steps before the sack....just knew he had him dead for rights once he beat the tackle and couldnt contain his glee

Weird decision....17 uneven, some teams will play 8 home games, some will play 9. Surely a competitive issue. Seemingly, the idea is each team will play one game on a neutral (perhaps international) site, therefore all teams play 8-8-1 h-a-n.

ESPN also gave UCLA a 100% chance to beat Stanford lastweek after they already lost in 2OT

The idea thrown around last year was that the extra game would be a neutral site game, with more UK games and Mexico games, and put some in non NFL cities. might return to Canada.

This is why he is the GOAT, one of the all time great FU’s by a team and their coach. :)

Set up:

In 1950, the Browns won a game against the Philadelphia Eagles without recording a forward pass. No NFL team has done it since.

When the Browns were admitted to the NFL in 1950 after dominating the All-America Football Conference for four seasons, they were derided as unworthy upstarts by the arrogant, established league.

NFL Commissioner Bert Bell purposely scheduled the Browns’ opening game against the Eagles, the two-time NFL champions whose state-of-the-art defense had registered a shutout in the previous season’s championship game.

Paul Brown’s offensive machine promptly dismantled and embarrassed the Eagles, 35-10, as Otto Graham passed for an unheard-of 346 yards and three touchdowns.

“All they do is pass and trap. They’re like a basketball team the way they throw the ball around,” grumbled Eagles coach Earle (Greasy) Neale.

The payoff:

And prior to the second meeting on a rainy December afternoon in Cleveland, Neale’s comment still burned in Brown’s calculating mind.

Under a steady rain that made the muddy Municipal Stadium field a slippery quagmire, the Browns took a 7-0 lead on a Warren Lahr interception return and then played for field position all afternoon. The Browns punted 12 times, kicked two field goals, achieved one first down and won, 13-7, without officially recording a pass attempt. Graham’s single pass, a completion, was wiped out by a motion penalty.

“It was a grandstand play,” Brown later was quoted by author Jack Clary, “but I wanted to prove we could win the hard way.”
