Friendly reminder to the Browns analytics boy geniuses from the Ivy League who try to reinvent football:

I guess. Lots of hammies for the receivers early this year. Packers 4-0 without Adams last year.

If not a hammy, is turf toe, if it's not turf toe, it concussion, always something. The record proves my point, paying for a top WR is not required if you have a good run game to lean on.

Packers run game as good as last year to start the season which surprises me. Well done to AJ and LaFleur.

Rodgers rated the top QB by pff for weeks 1 & 2.... Amazing. Couldn't even find a spot in their top 50 players for him last year.
Didn’t they also have Darnold five spots ahead of Allen (rated QB12) at the end of last week?

Not that Rodgers hasn’t been good.

Ive got to give it up for Josh, looking really good, not going to continue to bag him when hes playing this well.

On the topic of Josh Allen:

Apparently the stats show that in things that tend to be repeatable over time (throws when not under pressure, ball placement etc) are better but only average, whereas is its in areas that are more volatile/involve more luck (i.e. passing under pressure or when out of the pocket) are what are pushing his numbers into the higher tiers.

The bad misses he has are consistent with other QBs this year. Saw equivalently poor throws from Mahomes and Newton which are barely touched this past week whilst Allen’s are used as ‘evidence’.

Would say the bad fumbles are pretty egregious, same protection issue I have with Jones that I have little time for.

Anyone who bags Allen’s progress though two years and two games are still ridiculous for a 3rd year QB at this point. Doesn’t mean it won’t change, but still...

I don't think anyone could seriously asset that he hasn't improved significantly - imo the question is whether what he's done in the first two weeks (which have put him in the way-too-early MVP conversation) is indicative of his new level of performance, or if its more because of who he's played. And I don't think that that question is unreasonable.

Either way, I'd much rather be in the position of the Bills/Allen than the position the Jets and Browns find themselves in with QBs they drafted over him

There was the stat that only he, Manning, Mahomes and Rodgers has started a season statistically as well as Allen has.

I don’t think that is sustainable and don’t thinking any is suggesting as such. Continuing at current rate though would make the opponent argument moot and yes, in the MVP discussion eventually (even if Russ is playing well above everyone).

Independent of Allen, the Bills looks great in many facets. Will be interesting to see if they can take the step (pending coaching I think at the point).

Still say you swap Allen with Darnold and he'd look just as bad as Sam does now though
I think on the contrary, Darnold doesn’t have the grit Allen does.

Can see him struggling behind the Bills oline 2 years ago like Darnold still does. Darnold broke tho.

Darnold is a shell of what he was coming out now. Gun shy. It's sad what the Jets/Gase have turned him into.
