Was watching the Channel 9 Sunday Footy Show and they had Dennis Pagan. He was talking about the 1998 GF and how it was the one that got away.

He recalls they won 12 games in a row and all those games were played at night and then they had to play the GF in the daytime and he said it was 30C. Really? Don’t remember it being that warm and I was there.

And then we had Lloyd’s Deep Dive about the Talia incident in 2015 FFS. This was raised because Adelaide were meant to be playing the Bulldogs this weekend in the original AFL fixture.

I think we will be getting crowds to fairly much capacity before the end of the season, especially after Gil didn’t rule it out during the week. Even if not full capacity, close to.

Port have to throw everything they can into games to get their small fan base along

It’s our 3000 year anniversary
We have to wear the old black and white guernsey
It’s what our fans want
It’s our heritage
It’s prison bars which shows how tough we are
It’s against our local rivals and therefore...umm...something..
Did I mention it’s our 4000 year anniversary??

Just don’t call us Port Power even though that’s what we named ourself right from the start
And please don’t remember that we agreed we wouldn’t wear the old guernsey except in heritage round, which this isn’t

They’ve got a TV presenter for a president

It’s all about the image of success, instead of the reality of one flag since they joined the competition

If it was about results Kenny boy would have been gone long ago

I think the sporting codes have leverage now with those protests being allowed.

Victoria is still a virus concern but really, come the end of July we should be back to whatever normal will be.

Still don't think we will see totally full stadiums, but I'm hopeful we might get to a few games at least.

Seriously, Steven Marshall has dropped the ball.

We have had 2 cases since April 22 of which both are easily explained (one a massive ****up by SA Health and the other was actually shedding the virus and not contagious) and there is no community transmission since late March.

What more does the SA public need to do to enable crowds?

If my recollection is correct, the AFL policy doesn’t really have any peers across the sporting landscape. It needs to be remembered that the players don’t need to allow any extra testing regime outside of WADA. I think it‘s better than no illicit policy whatsoever.
The AFL's drugs policy is completely unlike that of any other professional sporting code. In any other sport, it's 1-strike and your out - and out for years. In the AFL it's 3-strikes, and we ban you for a month or two, while providing a cover story of an injury so that nobody needs to know.

** Even the AFL has a decent policy when it comes to PEDs. The scenario above only applies to recreational drugs.

Gee, I hope that's not supposed to be in order. Given that selection, most pundits would have the Abletts #1 and #2.

The AFL illicit policy is separate to the WADA policy that nearly all sports have adopted. Those sports, AFAIK, don’t run a separate policy where they test their own athletes out of competition for illicit drugs. Which sports do that?

Athletes in every sport are tested out of competition. The difference is that the other sports are tested by ASADA (or overseas equivalents), and are subject to the WADA code. The AFL does its own out of competition testing, and its subject to the AFL's rules rather than WADA's - and the AFL's rules are a joke.

Richardson? bit of channel 7 bias there. Ablett Jr is better than Judd. Ablett Snr was better than Lockett and Dunstall.
I would've had Silvagni in my top 10.

I don’t think that’s correct. We’re signed up to WADA, so we’re subject to their full testing and penalty regime. We run a separate regime alongside that. I don’t think it’s possible to sign up fir ‘some’ of WADA, it’s all or nothing. The AFL illicit regime is extra.

I read somewhere it was his girlfriend.

All I could think of is that Seinfeld episode where the girlfriend stabs her boyfriend because he's a bad breakerupperer.

If that's the case, legit fair enough.

They weren't breaking social distancing rules and I fully expect to be stabbed by my wife at some stage.

Wife:... Stab... Stab... Stab

Me: cough... C'mon... That was hilarious... cough

scene.

Police investigation is still ongoing apparently
