If that report is true (unlikely given it is Tom Browne) why wouldnt we try and get him back? Pay him what he wants...the "feel good" nature of the story would be enough. Also those responsible for him leaving (Pyke, Burton) have gone....

It's probably our turn to overpay a few younger players. We just need to sign them to long term deals.

It's a good idea, though, I'd be inclined to wait until next year before flashing the cash. If not just to make sure nothing funky happens post COVID-19.

This year is really about limiting the bleeding, getting more draft picks in and starting to feel optimistic for the future.

I doubt it. I think if we go at all, we'll be staying. Travelling in and out of Victoria is surely off the table. 8 teams hubbed in the covid capital of Oz or 10 teams hubbed where it's all but eliminated.

It’s certainly a tough decision to make as both options are equally sound...

I suggest that the SA state government approaches the AFL and offer Adelaide as a Hub... on the condition that there would be strict procedures/protocols in place to ensure that public health isn’t compromised and that, in addition, the contract regarding all future Grand Finals being played at the MCG be torn up and replaced with an agreement to play the game in the state of the highest ranked team (along with the parade). If they are unwilling to agree to said terms, withdraw said offer and watch the competition fall apart and several Victorian teams go to the wall. Bugger them.

I thought 4 debutants in 4 rounds was too...there appears to be a new approach, socfingers crossed.

You need to spend it on players who can win you games. Those 3 do the job IMO

I was assuming the reference was offer 1 mil/6 years at Taranto, and if he rejects, go to De-Goey etc until you find a taker.

Absolute bullshit again by the AFL. Given he was never allowed to play in isolation it should have been a 1 match suspension after that point.

Nah, go all 3 of them! Then we can fill up with role players like Lyons as an inside mid or Keays as a tagger.
