Lock lock lock if he plays! Backs up what you guys where saying re his position. Weird they have done an update!
100 would appear a stretch. 90 probably more realistic. Which is still great considering he is priced at 75ish. Averaged 95 when given sole duties at the back end of last year albeit very little games to go on, but appears Hawks are running this for the moment. The idea of doing the Naismith/Cegs ruck set up is you'll make around 300-400k assuming that it all goes to plan. Very risky but Cegs averaging even 85ish in a forward line which is quite bare for 80+ scorers should be a winIf Mummy isn't named in rd1 then Sauce should be very popular. Apparently hasn't missed a training session and having a great pre-season. When he rucked solo last year he averaged mid 80s from memory. I like ROB but depends a bit on whether Frampton and the situation with Gawn.
Over the last two years when solo-rucking, Ceglar has averaged 86. 100 is a massive stretch but if you think he can average that then he should be one of your first picked.
Potentially no Oscar to start the season. Can see us not naming Vardy/Hickey and running with Williams. Unlikely but a lot of us calling for Williams to make his debut as you know. Was super impressive in the WAFL last season for such a young big unit. Wouldn't surprise me to see a debut if we kills it in the pre season gamesI don't see him playing. 2 of NicNat/Vardy/Hickey need to go down before he gets a look in surely.
Xerri/Cameron/Hayes/Meek are all at least only 1 injury away from playing.
Looks like rookies are limited this year. I'm all in on cash generation with Naismith R2 and Patton for back up at F4Has anyone else got Naismith at R3? The way I see it is that selecting Naismith means a) I'm behind everyone else who selects a bottom priced ruck by $114k to start and b) it'll cost me a trade to downgrade him. Positive is he'll get close to $400k by round 6, giving me $200k+ to play with. Plus there's bench cover. Plus I have say six weeks to choose who the best bottom priced ruck option is. He'll average similar to higher priced midfield rookies like Stephens, Anderson or Serong, similar price. I'm doing it.

Swans prefer Naismith over Sinclair as their main ruckman. Hopefully he plays a marsh game but I'd expect to see him R1 as he nearly got a go late last year and has completed a preseasonI'm probably going to sound really stupid but what happened to Sinclair?
When did Naismith suddenly leapfrog him as first ruck? Is Naismith even going to get a game yet?
Your plan is a good one though pending some data on Naismith during Marsh. Helps mitigate any injury risk with Patton by having him forward (and therefore being able to have some form of bench cover for him).
Hopefully the Marsh series provides the answer to your qn?ive restructured my team to get the two big ruckman in. But now ive got my F3 spot available and ive got 500K to spend.. Is Acres the best option?
Ben Ainsworth is worth considering for that spot.ive restructured my team to get the two big ruckman in. But now ive got my F3 spot available and ive got 500K to spend.. Is Acres the best option?
I currently do. Not planning on moving him either at the moment unless an obvious, cheaper, ‘playing R3 arises.Has anyone else got Naismith at R3? I’ve basically spent all my cap and weirdly, even when I do swap him for a $170k Rick, the improvement to my on field team is minimal.
Mind you, if I need to put that extra $110k onto some cheap rookies to get in some obvious more expensive ones then he may have to go.
I'm finding this when I drop ROB down to a cheaper option. THe money gained is massive yet the domino effect it has on my side doesn't actually feel like an improvement for some reason lol.
Yeah, it’s hard to spread the money around to make any major improvements.
The way my team is structured, there is really no standout upgrade to the players I may consider putting the cash on top of.
For example, the main guys who could be ‘upgraded’ in my team would be Cerra, McCluggage and Greenwood.
Best I can get Cerra up to would be a Blakely. I’d rather keep the cash.
Greenwood could become a Walters/Heeney type, but again I like the value in Greenwood.
McCluggage is the one that could be upgraded. Could get as high as Oliver. Plenty of options like Bont, Neale, Matt Crouch, Boak, Fyfe etc. I could definitely be convinced that it is a smarter move to go safer with one of them. But I do like trying to pick a breakout mid each year and I’m putting my bet on McCluggage this year.

I think Cripps presents a lot of value at his price. As does Seb Ross. What do you think of them?I'm finding the mids spots really hard to fill outside of Macrae, Titchell, Rowell, Anderson and Pickett.
Dunkley probably the only'uber premo' I'd like to see in my squad. Also maybe Oliver.
But after that my enthusiasm really drops off. Coniglio/Kelly/Dangerfield probably the only others I'm considering in that 'Uber premo' slot. After them I'd rather drop down to the $600-$650k range for value picks.

Seb is in my side so rather than convince you I'll just give him a little plug myself for all those reading I know it's not fantasy relevant but based on AFL ratings - Seb Ross was the 4th best midfielder in the league from R19 onwards. I personally he can get back to his previous two year average of 105 which is a 10 point jumpCripps I've always liked but I've noticed he fades mid-season in the few weeks leading up to byes. I put that down to him carrying the blues engine room in previous years.
He may get more help now with Walsh emerging and reinforcements finally arriving from injury/trade table. Given he's an inside player I'm not sure if that means he scores better or worse though?
I think he's a safe premo pick for sure though. 105+ avg a safe bet.
Not a fan of Ross. I think it's more of the same with him this year. (50 one week, 130 the next). 95-100avg seems about as good as it gets for him.
The only way i see us playing Danger fwd for lengths is if Steven is playing like the A grader he can be and some of our younger players Parfitt/CC etc step upBig fan of Danger this year unless Geelong play silly buggers. Just can't see him anywhere but the midfield with Kelly out and we know he's got 115+ in him.
Haven’t seen Dev Smith up around the ball much at all so far this match
The two biggest take away's from this game for me are that Smith and Kelly have played more fwd then i would like but as you say it is only preseason so could mean nothingThis whole game will have an * next to it due to conditions. Hard to take anything out of this for fantasy.
