Senior List
Ruckman will generally take 5 years to mature. We have put the time into 2 Elite Junior Ruckman and now we have the best ruck stocks in the competition. We have a 21 year old (Hayes) a dual All Australian junior , a 22 yo(Ladhams) and Scotty Lycett who at age 28 is at his peak. By 2022 both Hayes and Ladhams will have gone past Lycett.
Aliir Aliir was really impressive against us this year and I would love to have him at the club - just what we need I reckon but NOT for any one of our ruckmen, repeat, NOT for any one of our ruckmen going the other way.
I thought Hartlett was fantastic this year
Redden was in a league waaaay above the others mentioned. If only his body held up.

In the only game Renouf played in 2014 when Lobbe was injured, he did well against Sandilands who was still the best in the comp. He did his acl again 2-3 weeks later and was never seen again. Lots of almosts with injuries letting us down.

I don’t normally post in trade threads as I just don’t see enough of the various prospects coming through the system.
What I do see is this weird idea of trading out a young ruckman who appears to be maturing nicely for yet another not quite tall enough defender.
While I see the attraction of AA from Sydney I think we benefit more from keeping Ladhams.

Gallucci for nothing for a year if we have space isn’t ridiculous. Port would have looked at him at some point? Did his Achilles I’m not sure he’s even recovered from that yet? Doesn’t lack talent just consistency. Did like him in the draft.
