That's true going from mid to half back/forward. But going into the midfield, finding and winning the ball is a genuine skill which Rozee and Butters fail at.

You do realise butters had a 36 touch game this season!! He can find the ball just fine.

I think losing all feeling in his leg, may have hampered him a bit after that.

Huh?

Butters was putting up some big games in the midfield and was finding plenty of the ball before he got cut down.

Rozee is just being held back by his body but has shown he can find it in the midfield as well..
I agree with Burjan to a degree. Neither Butters nor Rozee have proven themselves in the midfield YET. It takes more than a few games with good numbers to prove yourself in the midfield- it needs consistency week in, week out, and unfortunately both suffered injuries before they could show that. They might, but the key word is might.

Thats why I am keen to draft a genuine inside mid with our first.

Not sure on Rozee yet as a midfielder was as soft as butter in that Bulldogs game.
Needs to improve his commitment big time.

The Power will be a fascinating watch on draft night. They'll be on the lookout for another top-30 selection in any pick swaps deal to see if they can add one before a bid comes on father-son Jase Burgoyne. A bid for the silky-skilled Burgoyne, the son of 2004 premiership star Peter, seems most likely after the second round after he decided to nominate the club as his preferred destination. The run of Hugh Jackson could add to their midfield group, Miller Bergman's versatility and foot skills could also appeal, while VFL key defender Charlie Dean has attracted some interest but the Power might have plugged that hole with the free agency signing of former Lion Sam Skinner.

Twomey said on his draft podcast that GWS are looking to trade pick 13 and mention us as the likely club if there are 2 players available that we like.

Also, Sydney’s draft boss said they would be picking from a different group of players at pick 16 vs pick 12.

I don't see how we do this without giving up future first rounder which would affect any Lukosius deal next year, if at all one were to happen. Even if we don't get Luko, I'd still keep next year's pick to get a top KPP.

GWS list manager did say they're more likely to use the pick rather than trade it

Foxfooty.com.au predicts how the first round of the draft will pan out — including two father-son bids — plus the inside word on which prospects your club could take and why:

PICK 14 – PORT ADELAIDE: JOSH SINN
Position:
Medium defender
Size: 186cm, 78kg
Club: Sandringham Dragons/Old Xaverians/Vic Metro
AFL player comparison: Adam Saad

Blink and you’ll miss this speedy footballer, who’s a genuine 70m player in that he carries the ball 20m (at least) then kicks it 50m. Sinn is an explosive, line-breaking half-back with genuine leg speed but has the potential to become a full-time midfielder at AFL level if his aerobic capacity continues to improve. Entered the year in the Pick 1 mix, will finish it somewhere in the middle of the first round. But if it clicks for him at AFL level, watch out.

As Jason Cripps has said before, we can always trade back into the first round of future drafts.
If we get to picks 13 and 14 and there are two really good talents we like still on the board, I'd be ok with us swapping our future first with GWS.

There's no Luko deal next year. Clarko will sell a vision and that group will buy in.

Would absolutely love picks 13 and 14. I would be all for swapping our first next year for it. If we could get two gun mids in this year, it would set us up big time.

Everyone locking in on Sinn at our pick. Wonder if it's groupthink or legit?

Arlo Draper at #26 and Matthew Roberts at #53.

Might try and get in on that action.

Consensus across a few phantoms now is us picking Sinn with our first, with Sonsie and Goater still on the board at that point. If that occurred, I'd be keen on trading in for another pick in the teens to get either of those two guys.

Has us only taking Sinn and Burgoyne with Adelaide bidding on Burgoyne I think.

Sinn , Johnson, Erasmus(unlikely), with 1st , if Sonsie and or Goater slip out to 20's, go as hard as needed to trade back in to this yr. Not sure what it would cost.
