Yes immaturity played a part but also showed how poor McLaren are. When old mate was crapping on about positions and other teams when Lando said to shut up was just stupid taking his attention at that stage to tell him essentially useless information.
Really interesting radio from all drivers when the rain hit, in order of finishing place. Haven't heard so much from Kimi in a while, but he knew exactly what he wanted and it was the best decision.
And Tsunoda's/Alpha Tauri's race would have been completely different if they went to inter instead of softs.
Mazepin was strong on asking for Inters. Lots of dynamics on the trust for, and between the driver and team.

Irrespective of what happened with Lando in the end. Still a little disappointed Dan was not faster. He was caught in that train at the start but after he got new wheels he should have been able to get by more cars. As he has newer tyres.

What I liked about Kimi is that he just made his own call to box for the Inter after about 2 seconds of thinking

Listening to Lando compared to the more experienced drivers (including Danny) is night and day and shows just how far Lando has to go. The older drivers listened to the advice and made a quick and correct call to switch to inters. Lando just acted like a brat.

Whatever problem Ricciardo has may not be something that can be fixed during the season. It's not a poor reflection on him, it's a question of what can he do despite that? It's pointless moaning about it or expecting more.
Monza having long straights with few corners lessened the disadvantage Ricciardo has. His win there didn't mean he overcome it and that he's back.
Oscar Piastri. He's not entitled to an F1 drive, even if he becomes F2 champ. It's never been like that, that's not how the scene goes. It's all about managing your career progression.
If he doesn't get an F1 drive next year, then so be it. It's not the end of the world. He can go race in America or Japan and boost his credentials further.
For a champion to continue driving is against the point of the class, or any of the mid/low range classes. You win the class and move on. If there's no drive, then that's your problem.
It works both ways. If he competed next year, he could be usurped by another new driver. Had the rule been there in the first place, Nyck de Vries could've won his third straight series.

Respectfully disagree re piastri, legitimately only 3/4 of the last 20 F2 champions haven't gone straight into F1 one of those being de Vries who won it on his 3rd attempt.
But that doesn't even begin to explain what piastri is about to do, If he goes on to win the F2 title which is about 80% chance right now he will be the ONLY driver in modern history to have won 3 titles in a row (Eurocup, F3, F2), the only other driver to even win those same 3 championships was Lewis Hamilton who did it in 4 years and jumped straight into a race winning car.
The kids who are dominating F3 about to step up and join him? They both raced against him in F3 last year and weren't even scoring points let alone fighting him for the title and his title contenders from that year he has gone and dropped this year.
Another measure of the kids determination, since it became clear Gio's seat was the only one up for grabs he has claimed poll in every race since (3 in a row) and won 2 feature races and finish 2nd in the other.
The kid is clearly ready and 110% the most deserving of that seat next year, he has what it takes to be our next wdc.

There is no doubt that Hamilton at times has large doses of luck - We only have to go back to the last lap of the last race in 2008 in which he won his first World Championship.
The difference between Lando and Hamilton in the end was that Lando was in touching distance of his first f1 victory, while Hamilton's major focus was on keeping Verstappen behind, as opposed to winning the race - This has a big impact on their respective decisions at the time.

What are Piastri's weaknesses?
Because having driven for the best team in the intermediate classes, they're all going to be exposed in F1
I would have said qualifying pace if you asked me 2 months ago given he hadn't had a single pole in either F3s or F2s to that point, he had won F3 and was leading F2 purely on his race pace and consistency and as we all know qualifying is 9/10ths of where you end up in F1.
Since then he has taken his game to another lvl though, with 3 pole positions in a row and some big wins he seems to be caught up with the car now and beat his only competition for the title (Zhou) by 22 seconds in a 28 lap race in identical cars at Sochi.
I wouldn't place that much stock into which team you drive for in F2 and F3 now. They have had 4 years with these exact cars, I'd like to think most of the teams know how to set the car up by now. In any case he has the same teammate Schumacher had last year when he won F2 at his 2nd attempt.

The 1 qually loss was by 0.04 at Monaco and the 1 race loss was Oscar's only DNF for the year at Bahrain where he was ahead comfortably before the crash. Also Shwartzman was ahead of Schumacher before he had 2 rounds he didn't score a point at all at the back end of the season.

It's great that F1 is spreading it's wings - If you really wanted to do a 'deep dive' into the background of countries/sponsors etc, then you would have no sporting events in the world.
