Not sure if by design but it makes sense for the Texans to wait to the end of the season with Watson.

Legal issues should have more clarity and there could be a boat load of suitors driving up the price.

This is true, but the one bad thing for teams looking at Watson is he said he would make the cases go away and just payout the alleged victims if he was traded to the Dolphins before the deadline, by the end of the season we will past that point id imagine. He may want to take it all the way through the court system.

You've got your eye on Mike Thomas dont you Bazz. ;)
Texans won’t be good for some time so no point Thomas wasting his prime years. Working with Payton Saints would be hell of a team

Im trying to work out what the Saints would have to offer.

Rams released WR DeSean Jackson.
This was expected the moment a receiver with eight catches all year requested his way out of the organization. Averaging 27.6 yards per reception in his limited time on the field this year, 34-year-old Jackson did flash vintage speed whenever given an opportunity. A fit with the Raiders makes sense following Henry Rugg's felony charge Tuesday morning.

ESPN's Kimberley Martin reports the Saints and Browns discussed an Odell Beckham trade ahead of Tuesday's deadline.
The sides weren't able to come to an agreement given Beckham's prohibitive salary. OBJ doesn't want to be in Cleveland any longer, but Tuesday's 4 PM ET deadline came and went without a deal. The Browns reportedly are "optimistic" Beckham can be part of their playoff push, but that remains to be seen after OBJ's dad publicly trashed Baker Mayfield in an effort to get his son out of Cleveland. It's clear Beckham won't be part of the Browns come 2022. The Saints' interest can be filed away for future reference. OBJ played his college ball at LSU.

Cardinals designated C Rodney Hudson (ribs) to return from injured reserve.
Although his 21-day practice window was only opened on Tuesday, there's reportedly "hope" Hudson will be available for Sunday's divisional matchup against San Francisco. Hudson's backup Max Garcia (Achilles), WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring), and Kyler Murray (ankle) are among those also being monitored ahead of Week 9.

Lions activated LT Taylor Decker from injured reserve.
Decker has been sidelined for the entire season after requiring surgery on the finger he injured ahead of Detroit's regular season opener. The team shifted first-round rookie Penei Sewell from right tackle to left, the position he played in college, in place of Decker but that will likely change the moment the latter is active. RT Matt Nelson will move back to the bench in that scenario.

fuey exciting news!

Titans signed RB D'Onta Foreman.
The team waived RB Mekhi Sargent to make room for both Adrian Peterson (irresponsibly donning No. 8 on the back of his Titans jersey) and Foreman on the practice squad. With Dontrell Hilliard also log-jammed there, Tennessee will likely opt to promote multiple players ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Rams. Peterson is expected to handle a bulk of the team's early-down and goal line touches with Jeremy McNichols sticking in a pass-catching role as a viable flier in PPR leagues in place of Derrick Henry (foot surgery).

EXCITING trade

Jets acquired RG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif from the Chiefs in exchange for TE Daniel Brown.
Duvernay-Tardif hasn't played a single down of football since 2019, opting out during the pandemic and breaking his hand over the summer. He was active in Monday night's win for the first time all year but did not play. Brown, a core special teamer with New York, will do as much with the Chiefs.

Chiefs acquired TE Daniel Brown from the Jets in exchange for OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif.
It could signify more 12/13 personnel for Kansas City after Patrick Mahomes completed the most passes behind the line of scrimmage by any quarterback in a game since 2016 on Monday night. Brown, a core special teamer in New York, had played 13 snaps on offense all year.

couple of weird no trades...

Colts coach Frank Reich said he "anticipates" RB Marlon Mack remaining with the team beyond Tuesday's trade deadline.
"If something was going to happen, I would imagine it would have happened by now," Reich ominously said about Mack's outlook ahead of the deadline. It's heartbreaking news for both Nyheim Hines and Mack as the two have cannibalized one another for touches behind Jonathan Taylor. If stashed anywhere prior to this development, Mack can be dropped since he offers the explosiveness of a potted plant.

The New York Post's Brian Costello reports the Jets have consistently told teams "no" when asked about acquiring WR Denzel Mims.
It's an odd position to have considering the Jets just recently used Mims out of necessity sans Corey Davis (hip) in Week 8. The sophomore still has only 6/109 receiving on nine targets across five appearances under Robert Saleh, consistently playing behind Jamison Crowder, Keelan Cole, Elijah Moore, Davis, and even Braxton Berrios this year. A second-half breakout, while amazing if it were to happen, is not expected for Mims this year.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Dolphins will not trade for disgruntled Texans QB Deshaun Watson.
Miami reportedly "did due diligence" on Watson, so much so that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross received permission to speak with the disgruntled quarterback Monday night, but Houston refused to budge on their asking price — "at least three first-round draft picks, two second-round draft picks, and perhaps more" — after catching wind that Watson was trying to settle his 22 civil lawsuits in order to join another organization. Watson is thus expected to stay put with the Texans as a $10.54 million healthy scratch this year. This situation is expected to be revisited in the offseason as Watson has only agreed to waive his no-trade clause for Miami.

So anyone got a WR we can borrow?

I guess this was always going to be one of the side effects of being in Vegas. Young men, lots of money, zero brains.

Reports were he was out playing golf at one of those night time driving ranges, who gets ****ed up drunk at a driving range at 3am on a Tuesday morning?

David Carr deleted this tweet after deciding to hype up his brother following Ruggs killing a woman this morning..... what a weird ****ing family. smh.
