Melbourne finished top, won their final. Port finished second, won their final. Pretty fair, i'm sure all other games were on neutral grounds. As for Sydney finishing top 4 you're just guessing. They may have finished lower. Is what it is. All teams have to put up with this.
That wasn't my point (Port Power only got the advantage in the finals*) but yes, it is what it is....an * season and like Richmond last year* you aren't arguing because Port Power is still in the finals race.

How our recruiters watch Caleb Daniel. Sam Mitchell like with his creative kicking.

The finals thus far have made one thing crystal clear… the top eight is a pointless and ultimately boring finals system. Top 5 is all that’s required. The other three teams are almost always pointless filler who are no where near good enough to do anything. If it’s ever suggested to you that teams 6, 7 and 8 “might do so damage” I give you permission to slap the person who is pedalling said nonsense.

Bulldogs won from 7th in 2016

I am aware of this, but am perfectly happy to not give the 7th ranked team a chance come finals time… and other than that one outlier, almost every other finals series played with eight teams has pretty much seen the top 4-5 teams make it through to the GF. The first two weeks of finals as played now are almost always pointless.

Yes but it was an unusual year as all top 7 sides won at least 15 games and 7th was only two games off top spot. 7th this year won 11.5 games.
IIRC first time that a bye was introduced.

After the Dogs 1st Final in Week 1, they never left Victoria.

They got the rides of their lives from the umps through the finals as well. Unprecedented.

Should never have won the Prelim, if GWS got that kind of favouritism, the Bulldogs supporters would of burnt AFL House down.

Definitely not an original post, but how did we let Charlie go? I mean there’s Neale, there’s Lyons, there’s Charlie … this is hard to watch!!

I don't think anyone thought he would be this good. He wanted out though but even if he didn't most people would of pushed him out for that pick.

IIRC they offered CC massive overs and we were busy paying it all to Betts?

Charlie also wanted to go home. :drunk: :drunk::rolleyes:

Awesome game. Bont out before Port game is predictable, but offset by extreme free kick Dogs mode in the last few minutes that will hopefully continue.

Brisbane offered him more money, his true value.

We wouldnt pay.

I know there is the fairytale he wanted to live in Brisbane. But that is PR BS.

Fagan/Noble wanted him. They were smart.

Genuine stuff up by us.
