100 and 105Stewart + Dunkley

Macrae + Daniel
Option 1. You get the best player in Merrett, and Markov with a defined role (at least for now, I guess).Merrett and Markov
Vs
Daniel and De Goey
Assuming you've got other captaincy options, I'd lean towards the Dunkley combo.Macrae and Caldwell
V
Dunkley and Rowell?
Still going round in circles with all the permutations of these D4-6, M6, F4 spots.Markov, Drew, HYoung
Vs
JClark, Hind, LJones/Idun
JClark and Drew similar job security, helped by the Duncan and SPP outs - gives them a chance to stake their claim. Either/both of them could go big against Crows and North.
Hind and Markov both have that trendy running back flanker role. Maybe Hind expected to score slightly higher?
I've had Young in my side since Christmas, so it feels weird to think of dropping him at this stage. I think he'll have pretty consistent and decent scoring and role - better than a Jones/Idun. Idun probably the riskiest choice of those seven.
So confused haha
Fantasia is too high based on past scores (70).Still going round in circles with all the permutations of these D4-6, M6, F4 spots.
Anyone see any major differences to this basic rundown for these guys?
Scoring:
Fantasia 70-90
JClark 75-85
Drew 70-85
Hind 70-80
Markov 70-75

Scoring:
Fantasia 70-90 - 75. Past scoring suggests 70 but is in a far superior team now so bumped that up a touch
JClark 75-85 - Depends on role but that seems on the money
Drew 70-85 - 75 - 90
Hind 70-80 - probably on the mark but think he could push higher. Has a friendly role
Markov 70-75
HYoung 65-70
Webster 60-70
Idun 50-65 - I think closer to 50 but could surprise
LJones 50-60
Job/role security:
Hind - excelled in the bombers VFL side playing HBF. Think they brought him in for a reason. Rules should suit him as well. Quick mover and always kicks
Markov - think Dew will use him differently to the way tigers did. Also think it's his spot to lose after that pre season performance
Fantasia - 100% plays especially with Rozee missing
--
HYoung - role is secure even with Ryan. Elite kick and they'll want as many games into him as possible
Webster - I'm on the fence here. Think he sits in Saints 20-26 best players which means he could be first out after a poor outing. Sinclair now in defence so adds a little bit of a squeeze.
LJones - I don't think he plays round 1. Think Bergman does ahead of him. Hartlett still to come back as well. Tight backline to squeeze into
--
JClark - think he plays but like with Webster probably in that 20 - 26 mark
Drew - think he plays with SPP news. It's a risky roll of the dice that I'll be taking
--
Idun - he plays for sure, probably third tall option. Might depend on match ups though?

Yeah, maybe the 90 ceiling is a tad optimistic. But I reckon he's a pretty safe bet to go 70-80.Fantasia is too high based on past scores (70).
Thanks mate. I'll take a look at Atkins - missed that one. I left out LYoung just to slightly narrow the field - lower JS like you say, and plays for NorthI think you could add Atkins 60-70 and in the second highest job/role security tier; and L. Young 50-60 in either the Clark/Drew or Idun tier
Wow, thanks legend! Appreciate it. Great points.Answers above
If keeper league - Serong
If normal draft league just for this year - Simpkin

A great matchup this one!Caldwell
Vs
Brodie
Great break down.A great matchup this one!
I'm on the Brodie train, the massive investment in his tank in the off season should/could win favour of Stewies best 22. He has shown previously he can get a lot of the pill. A decent showing in the AAMI game and plays the West Coast away, then the Roos and then the Crows, if all things go well he could be off with a flyer!
Caldwell, new team, new opportunity did well in the AAMI, though handball heavy, plays Hawks, Port and St Kilda in the first three, tough mid assignments.
I find the pic below from Dreamstats.com of his pre-season game and then look at the comparison with Gold coasts score drop off somewhat compelling. Brodie enabled scoring when he had the pill. Which way are you seeing it?

So we'll leave it in the hands of Stewie Dew, nekkminut, Brodie named EMG R1. and the mad scramble begins!Great break down.
The way I see it is Caldwell has good job security but limited scoring ability (80-85).
Brodie is fringe best 22 but his scoring could be anything (85-100).
I hadn't gone as far as comparing matchups but after seeing that it definitely gives me a bit more confidence in picking Brodie.
Hi,Walsh vs Dunkley vs Wines vs Serong?
Walsh should be the safe option, Dunkley has the highest ceiling but role can change, Wines has had his first uninterrupted preseason in years and should improve, Serong set for a good year but did not play in AAMI game.
GC play Sunday too. I'm not sure what time teams get announced but there's a chance the Essendon game could've already started meaning Caldwell would be locked out.So we'll leave it in the hands of Stewie Dew, nekkminut, Brodie named EMG R1. and the mad scramble begins!
Thanks for the advice, Dunkley would be locked in my team if Treloar had played in the AAMI game to see how they may work together. Walsh had a great finish to last year so probably leaning towards him for now but still time for me to change my team for the 100th time.Hi,
I'm on Dunkley, and reckon he'll be a top six forward if not top two. I have considered all of the others and think they are all great choices, Serong has potential for 2nd yr blues, Wines is a contest bull and can/needs to add to his outside game and TOG%, Walsh is a gun and should show growth.
I dunno, too tough to rank but i have Dunks ahead of the other 3 on versatility and ceiling, the other 3 I can't really split. What are you thinking?
