Scott is shaky, we have Wood, JJ to come back - plus Cavarra kicked 4 as a small forward in the 2’s.

plus JUH - who has 7 goals in 4 quarters so far...

Only thing keeping scott in the side is the 4pts from the win! They might not make any changes after a hard fought win.
As soon as they lose though, he'll be banished for a while I would think?

You may need a rethink on both given recent news.

Martin and Fisher out for 6 weeks. Does that mean Williams has to play more forward? Dow definitely has to go.

I'd consider holding Clark and maybe even Serong for a couple more.

Bergman might get dropped too.

I'm with FlowersByIrene , as the Martin/Fisher news has me actually more keen for Williams, rather than less keen. The only reason he played forward a bit, was because Martin was taking some of his CBA's. Without Martin, he likely has to play full time mid.

Still gonna give him a week to see how he goes (as his BE is 103 so he's not gonna really go up in price/I can close the gap with Hardwick even if he scores as low as a 60). Deffs will pull the trigger though if he looks good and he scores above a 90.

I'd love for Williams to score even an 80. Just needs to show something/anything and I'll pick him up.

At $600k he's the perfect fixup for my backline. Seems a bridge too far to upgrade any mid pricers to the $700k defenders right now.

short turnaround suggests we might “rest” someone - although that might be Treloar...

I'm getting rid of Clark, Menegola and Duncan back this week and no other glaring issues (given I am giving Kmart Dusty and and Lowes Dusty (Stepho) one more week to prove to me why they're in my side).
Duncan has played 1/2 a game with no preseason not sure he is a certain in this week as much as Geelong fans would like him to be and Gola watched the VFL game with his arm in a sling on the weekend so doubt about him as well. Unless i missed an update from the club.

With the news of the Carlton injuries, I'm no torn on what to do with Dow.
Does Dow get more mid time with those guys out?

I was going to go
Dow > Campbell
Caldwell > Brayshaw

But now wondering if I go
Gaff > Dunkley
Caldwell > Brayshaw

I wish I knew what Gaff will do this week but it is a definitely possibility that Dow scores close to what Gaff does.
Option 2 is better for scores this week but it means I miss out on Campbell, although Dow > Campbell will be a straight swap next week and Campbell might struggle this week?!

Will Day going to be missing an extended period of time for anyone looking at Hardwick, CJ, Scrimshaw (not this week).

Still a chance Dow gets dropped (albeit less now with their injuries). But you won't know till Saturday afternoon anyway.

I like option 2 and give Dow one more (if he's dropped just cover him from your bench then move him on next week).

Nic Nat's can't even think up a good enough reason as to why Gaff is garbage "sharing the workload around". What a spin.. such a sharing person our Gaffy is. Still covers the most km's but just doesn't get the footy.

Even in a best case world Dow goes like 80, Gaff could get back to form with a 110. If it was me I'd back in the premo as long as possible but Dunkley's a gun so can see the allure.

Yeah it's really tough.
If I keep Gaff he can easily become Williams or Dunkley next week but I think I'm going to go with the better scoring option this week and get rid of Gaff

If you didn't start with Fantasia, I wouldn't go there personally. Hardwick a way better option

Agree (as a Fantasia owner).

At $350k he was value. At ~$410k.... probably not. He's definetely the kind of player who can score a 20 and go unsighted an entire game.
Port atleast for the moment seem to involve everyone, but they're 2-0.

In a more challenging game he could really struggle.

Yup, I started with him and in all honesty is he was a fwd only I probably wouldn't have.
With Hind and Atkins in my fwd line my plan was always to hold Fantasia till round 6 and then upgrade him to a fwd with a swap to Hind

Oh god... I have to keep Gaff don't I...

I just made a list of players I think I might need to dump after next week:

Clark (gola/duncan returning);
Sholl (if he tanks again);
Steph (if he tanks again);
DeGoey (if he tanks again);
Tyson (100% to get dropped this week, and even if he's not.. spud);
Scott and Bergman potentially dropped over the next fortnight;
Highmore and Kosi both on shakey ground week by week.

I really REALLY don't want to hold Gaff. But this whole 2x trades per week could sting if I don't stay on top of these pesky 0's early...

Just my thoughts...
Clark good for more week
Scholl plays GC, NM and Freo coming up, should be a heap more outside ball so I would hold.
Stevo I would get rid of, I never had him thank god!! But at least he will get named and might be good to get his B/E at least
Tyson needs to go
Scott is a 50/50 to play but Dogs board seem confident he plays
Bergman is 50/50 to but probably dropped
Highmore seems pretty good back there and Dees tall fwd's didn't kill him
Kosi might not score well but his JS is OK I think

So trade Gaff and Tyson this week and then maybe Stevo and Clark/Bergman next?

Anyone care to rank these for job security and throw a dart with how many weeks they're in the team till they're dropped:

Brockman; Lazzaro; Evans.

Might take Lazzaro but just a bit weary with Phillips yet to debut someone has to be forced out his time could be limited.

Not sure they have room for playing All three of Phillips/Powell and Lazzaro...?

I've got Caldwell already locked as one trade (to Hind).
Hence my conundrum. Either trade Gaff to stop the short term pain, but potentially enter a labrinth of donuts coming my way in the next week or two..

Or be "responsible" and just trade the donuts (tyson/Caldwell).

Good old fantasy... never being able to do the trades you want, only the trades you're forced too haha.
