I've got Caldwell already locked as one trade (to Hind).
Hence my conundrum. Either trade Gaff to stop the short term pain, but potentially enter a labrinth of donuts coming my way in the next week or two..

Or be "responsible" and just trade the donuts (tyson/Caldwell).

Good old fantasy... never being able to do the trades you want, only the trades you're forced too haha.
In that case IMHO you have to hold Gaff.
How much cash do you have for the Tyson trade? Do you have Campbell already?

North play Friday afternoon which is annoying for a Lazarro swap, who do we think out of Cahill and Scott is the most likely of not being named? My gut said Cahill but with injuries to Shiel, Caldwell he keeps his spot? Scott played in winning team but has looked a tad lost, does Wood or JJ take his place this week?

Edit: Add Bergman into the conversation too I guess

North play the Dogs - so you will know if Scott is out - early this week...

Luckily so do the Dogs. I reckon Scott's in trouble.

Oh lol duh. Makes things easier

Yep - that's a bonus on that one...

i'm just trying to sort out my plan - the rolling lockouts make life tough, especially for (E) selections. If you don't know they are playing - do you risk a lesser score as your (E) on each line ??

After the Caldwell ->Hind trade I have 181k in the kitty.

I don't have Campbell but already paid the price for chasing scores last week with Sholl and Steph.

Campbell looked great but I think $312k is too steep for a rookie.

Already have all the other key rookies so the best of the rest are Brockman/Lazzarro and Evans. Thinking Tyson-> Lazzaro and gives me $380k to fixup Steph and one other next week.

Lazzaro over Campbell is +$100k which is nothing to baulk at early on.

I guess with Essendon's injury woes hold Cahill. Even if dropped he's the best chance to get back in. Once Scott gets dropped we probably don't see him again in 2021 barring mass injuries.

Yeah if there's any doubt at all on your emergencies I'd just lock in the first one that plays as an emergency.

I was thinking:

Scott > Campbell
Idun > Murray - but people have indicated Murray might not last and Idun might be back in after the debacle in the west...

So, my next trade out targets are either Clark, Stephenson, H Jones (probably plays still though) or T Powell (North). The latter two rookies probably have good JS - but are either very slow or slow burners - so they can probably still make another 50 - 100K - over the next month.

If I ditch Clark - the max I can go to is 479K - so the likes of Markov, Cumming, Howard, Jiath.

If I ditch Stephenson (after one pointless week) - I can go to $577K - so just short of N Anderson, but Heppell, H Morrison, LDU, Duursma etc are available.

So - I'd be quite happy to get to N Anderson, after watching the two Suns games - but I'd need to ditch Berry or Powell in the mids to have the cash to do it - and get Campbell at the same time. And hold Scott for another week and hope Brockman stays in for (E) coverage....

Thoughts/comments.

Yeah the Lazzaro option sounds good.
$380K should be enough to go Gaff and Stepho to Brayshaw and Dunkley next week

I had all 12 of H Jones valuable points locked in as (E) very early on last week.....

Completely comforting it was....

The problem is, if I end up trading Gaff next week it's basically a failed move. He'll drop 50-70k. Lazzaro might go up $30-$40k. Overall I lose.

Already have Dunks but Steph or DeGoey will likely be traded to a defender by swapping Fantasia forward (Williams/Ridley/Crisp).
And one of Drew/Clark traded to a premo defender (Williams/Ridley/Crisp).

That's of course until more injuries happen/rookies get dropped haha.

If anyone gets a chance, have a look at the team in 99th place.....

I was wondering how he can have 5 premo defenders and 5 premo mids, with Laird in the mids......until I saw he has 1 premo fwd!!

It definitely seems the way that the game is tracking though lol.

Wow not only that, the rest are rookies up forward haha! Talk about skating on thin ice.

Cash gen will crush him before long.

My only solace with Gaff is that Neale is falling harder and faster. At the very least maybe I'll be able to swap them over at some point haha.

Yeah I think the risk outweighs the potential reward, I'd lock in the sure but potentially lesser score

Brockman vs Campbell vs Larazzo?

In terms of cash gen.

Faced with the same thing this week and just going to go Lazzaro assuming he's named. Instant +$100k over Campbell. With a poor first sub score Lazzaro might be under the radar a little bit. once that sub score clears his L3 average the shackles might come off!
