Who's the best mid to target under 800k this week?

Mitchell seems the obvious choice but the other options include Treloar (is he 100% fit and gelling yet?) or Gaff (will Shuey out break him again?). If i was to scrape another 50k by picking up a 170ker (if named, RCD maybe) over Robertson i could get to anyone bar Macrae basically, so you're looking at Oliver (O'connor tag incoming), Steele (ewww a St Kilda player) or Guthrie (can I really trust Cam Guthrie?).
Duncan

I'm also committing to holding Paul Hunter for that permanent captaincy loop option. He's never getting a sniff back in the side and with rolling lockouts all year, the VC Loophole is on offer every single week.

Not sure what we will do with Meek when Lobb is ready to roll.

Mitchell is the obvious one for sure given that regardless of how how goes in the next couple, you'll want him by the end of the year. So there's no risk of a failed trade there.

Treloar/Gaff are not a sure thing just yet so would wait on them.

Agree with the rest of your summary.

I'm trying to wait a little longer before I grab any of the bigger names like Mitchell as it feels a bit gross grabbing an $800k player after they scored a 71.

I'm trying to focus on upgrading in the Midfield first given DPP adds only to the fwd line and backline so Mids are the most certain. Lock them away early and try and save some spots for the new premos when they get added in.

Quick one on Treacy, I assume he comes in this week as it looks like your entire board expects him to. But is his spot in jeopardy once Lobb returns or is it a form thing?

Yeah lots of changes expected this week. Some forced (Fyfe ready, Young out etc.), but also from an insipid performance.
No chance we hold Meek, Darcy, Lobb and Treacy.
Treacy replaces Meek or Darcy this week.
Then Lobb replaces the other or Treacy then. Will depend a lot on performance. Definitely possible for Treacy to only be in for 1-2 weeks.

When Meek is dropped he will go, but i'm holding one fully comatose player like Hunter for the VC loophole and Ruck is best place to do it with less players a risk of a late out.

Fair point. Unfortunately can't do any Sunday/Monday fixture analysis (until we have the fixture beyond r6) to identify the best loophole player options.

Probably Titch.. but i love me some Guthrie. Had him as a POD for the 2nd half of last year, he def. has some ball hog tendencies and literally patrols the field as he wants to.

I'm sort of doing the opposite as I'm living in hope Gulden/Taranto both get DPP forward status. They're taking 2x mid spots so it's hard to upgrade too much in the mids before I feel like it's putting a hat on a hat.

Drew at M5 probably my only flexible spot in midfield atm but i like having that one spot to make DPP changes week by week.

My thoughts on that are only get 5 premo mids as there are 3 rooks you need on field.

2 forced changes this week in Witts and Young.
Witts > Tex via dpp
Young > Dev via Fanta
Tom Green on his last chance as I think the Cogs injury may help his scoring.
286k in the bank.

Except when the Saints play before your VC!
I don't expect the Saints to get too many thursday or friday night games from here on given how poor they are playing. Plus i'm not a greedy man, I usually leave my VC to the first one or two games only like old times sake (as opposed to trying to get VCs on Saturdays or Sundays), so i don't expect it to be an issue.

Only issue with the VC Loop is timing. You need a VC to play before your Loop Captain. If Saints get Sunday slots it'll work well.

Still wish they'd get rid of the VC loop somehow. It seems like a broken system to me.
Especially in the current state where theres no excuse to even have a donut captain.

VC could easily be scrapped altogether. Or at the very least a VC earns +50% of their score if called upon rather than 100% as a captain would.

22 points from approx 30 mins. 0.73 PPM but can he sustain for full game? Perfect D7 but I don't have big brass balls to field him

Sounds more and more like Graham might get the gig. But at the very least Burgess will keep his forward role and assist to some extent in the truck.
He scored ok as a forward.

I think I'm going to give Burgess a crack at D6 for 1 round.

If it fails, I'll upgrade Kosi next week to someone more respectable.

Edit: Trading Kosi or highmore for burgess just seems a waste of time/trades at this point so the only spot I can justify burgess is D6.
