Lachie Jones to debut for port, wonder if that means Bergman won’t play

Edit: Hinkley said Bergman is in contention to be sub

Bergman sub again? Hinkley is cooked

Actually tempted by Jones considering how well HBF's score against Tigers. Might be infinitely better than Burgess. Although JS shaky at best I'm guessing PAFC27 ?

fu** this 24 hour team announcement bullshit! For forward rookies it's either Rob or Waterman but we won't know if Rob is named prior to Waterman being locked out.... campaigners

Welcome to my last week....

Gotta love sub drama. Bergman cops it, doesn't get a chance to play in the 2's and then a dude that did comes in ahead of him. Real shame because he's got the role/team to make some real dollars.

Tempted by Jones over Burgess but probably have to play the BE game.

JDG and Young out to:

A. Parish and Jiath
B. Tex and Cumming
C. Burgess and Zorko
D. Robertson and Ridley

A - Speculative. Don't like it.
B - Probably scores the most. But every week is a raffle. Those 2 last year could combine for less than 100. This year they're combining for 220+. Not for me but it's probably the highest points on ground option short term
C - Don't mind it but not the biggest on Zorko.
D - I think this is my choice as you get a gun for the year with no question marks over him. Robertson has plenty of upside if he can only hold his spot.

D, B, C, A in that order for mine.

If the rest of your side is pretty solid (no more shaky mid-pricers) I'd do B. Cash AND points over the rest of them.

Otherwise D looks solid. Best rook and top 6 gun.

Are we prioritising getting rookie donuts off the bench or maybe like sideways trade an under performer like Clark and downgrade a donut rookie? Had 4 bench donuts last week, also have kozi and Brockman who could get dropped.

Tonight's game sucks. Really want to go Young to Ridley or Mills but don't have the gonads to take the risk when I'm sweating on team announcements for Webster, Highmore and Kozi. Thinking Bowes is the next best option.

I'm happy to have one to three donuts on the bench if you think they may come back into the side (like Bergamn or Idun) but if you have 4+ and they're no chance of coming back, like Hunter, Highmore etc i'd start to get ancy about lost cash generation.

Ahhh so torn here lads. Want to just set and forget rucks so looking at getting Gawn in for Witts but need to find 112K with a second trade to get him in. Do I risk it and downgrade Clark to Robertson and have 4 rookies playing midfield or play Flynn and use my 2 trades to get a premo in somewhere. Really want Clark out of my side ASAP. Cheers.

I got a defender dilemma. Can afford Cumming, but could also do a Cox/Chapman plus gain 194k.

If Cumming is 85
Cox is 65-70 +194k is it worth it?

I probably have more faith in Cox over Chapman. But is 200k worth the difference in scoring between Cumming and Cox? (boy oh boy innuendo)

I'd either go for cash generation or getting a keeper. Depends on your circumstances for cash, but getting a keeper in (which on that list is likely Ridley) should be the priority.

I personally don't see Zorko being a top 8 midfielder by the end of the season. Top 20, but not top 8, whereas I do see Ridley being a top 6 defender.

Having said that, my crystal ball has now gone all cloudy :)
Zorks will be a top 6 forward

I would still go D on the basis that Ridley should be a keeper. Get him in now if you can, as you never know what will happen next week...

Just realised option D involves locking in both trades tonight and hoping Robertson keeps his spot :(

If you pick Cumming you should be picking him an the basis that you believe he can maintain scoring between 85-95 (as he has been) and you can essentially keep him for the year
