That would be stiff. From a non fantasy point of view he looked decent so surely he stays

Nice ball user, gets to the right places - looking for the link up play - Buckley will surely drop him......

Or tell him his teammates hate him

I'm a Dogs supporter, but how funny is it watching Treloar hit Naughton, Bruce or English lace out - after last years dramas.....

The 170k mid we’re all yearning for.

Ryan Byrnes impressed with 22 disposals and a goal in his first VFL game back from a hamstring injury, and Ratten said on Thursday he‘s keen to bring Byrnes’ pace into the senior side.
He'll be good if Rattan plays him as a pure midfielder, though his job security doesn't look great. There might be a few senior players dropped as a statement this week, but after that he'll be competing with Bytel, who seems to be the preferred rookie, for that last spot on the bench.

I cry every time 😢

We feel the same way with Ward - we lost him to GWS for $50k or something..... He and his manager were ready to sign, he just wanted $50K more (he was only going from 300 - 350K or something - it's not like he was on 800K) and we said no.

next minute, he's earning 1M per year at GWS.....

At least you're not paying any of his salary

We did do that with Griffin though.....

But yes, not our finest list management decision there.... Let's dramatically low ball (I can't remember exactly what the figures were) our potential future captain and gun midfielder in a year where the AFL funded vultures are circling every out of contract player.....

Can we really justify picking Ziebell over Neale or Titch right now?
Even Hunter.

It seems strange to even consider it. But I am.

The Def/Fwd status might be handier to have given both those lines are incredibly weak for me atm.

But I think I'll stick with Neale or Titch this week making a really strong core in my midfield.

My rough plan moving forward (if desperate) is push all my mid/fwd rookies forward by moving all my def/mids to the middle... and then load up on cheapie defender "premos" eg. Williams, Daniel, Ridley etc. Defense seems to be the only line where there is some solid name players at really cheap prices.

Reckon Maurice Jnr might get a run in the next week or 2. Tackling machine, might snag a goal or 2, won't score big but he's a 170k mid/Fwd

My ruckline (4 players) delivered a grand total of 21 pts last week and is my first priority next week, the week after I will be bringing Ziebull in as he's averaging the highest in Def or Fwd (discounting Witherden)

*Edit...although the smart move would be to bring him in after the rnd 12 bye, which I might just do.

I'm keen to get defence sorted because mine is an absolute basket case. But I start improving that next week with Hind moving back.....

Hind is still one I haven't picked up. Every week he looks promising but he never does quite enough to demand selection.

I am annoyed as I had Jiath, L Young, Idun in my just before season start side. But then dropped two of them. Would have fixed my defence much earlier than it will be...

He's a tough one... I've had him from the start, so happy with the output, but if I didn't have him already, I'm not sure I would be getting him in now.

Yeah that's my thought still atm. I think I'll give it a miss. But every game he's felt like he's on track for a tonne, but something always stops him.

I wish I had picked him over Drew at the start though, would've been very handy right now and would be 1 less rook on ground.

Andrew Brayshaw or Fyfe

Leaning towards taking a punt on Brad Crouch ($696, BE 98) this week. Showed his ceiling with a 125 against the Eagles in round 4, and has GCS and Hawthorne in the next three weeks. He should be a safe tonne each week provided the Saints regain some form.

Plays on Sunday too, which is nice.

Andrew Brayshaw or Fyfe
Not an easy question to answer.

Brayshaw has proved susceptible to a tag, although he did well against MDB, has a good run of games coming up against sides that don't normally tag.

I wouldn't be picking Fyfe as a mid but as a Fwd I do see the benefit as he can go large, he can also get injured so his durability is a factor.

FWIW I brought Brayshaw in for Gaff (yeah, I know, right) last week saw him scoring well as he was off the leash, but I see him as a solid M6-8 type.

Fyfe (if he stays on the park) I see as a F4-6, after Dunkley, Ziebell, Dusty.

Geez, just having a look at B Ellis, averaging 116 over the last 4:think:

*Edit...and at 1% ownership
Had Lyons all last year and was very happy with his output, this year has a low of 95 and a high of 142 for an ave of 113. Ownership at 1%

Those averages are up there with the Macraes/Olivers etc.

Couple of PODs if I ever saw them
