Anybody who thinks Ladhams has equivalent worth to Dawson is absolutely kidding themselves.

Adelaide had them over a barrell not a true reflection of his value and uncontacted.
Moving Dawson means they can also take on Ladhams contract now.

Apparently Tredrea thinks we'll get Melbourne's first for Ladhams but in that case, why not three way us in?
As we did with Ladhams himself, we can pinch a ruckman who's been overlooked in the draft from one of the SNAFL teams and put them on the rookie list - maybe one day they'll even become (arguably) first round pick worthy
Yeah that’s basically the AFL average wage. I think the story started when a journalist confused him with Clurey and said he was on a backended $600k next year (presumably making Clurey a restricted free agent). Others have just run with the same narrative ever since.

'Prominent player agent' Colin Young was on 6PR tonite trying to explain his clients' failure to get the moves they want (Lobb, Hill) and he mentioned that he'd bumped into Jaeger O'Meara just recently and asked him where things are at with him, is he off to Port Adelaide? I listened to Tredrea tonight with Crowie (pray for me) but that wasn't what was said. Crowie said many listeners had texted in with that suggestion but general consensus was Sydney wouldn't be happy with it. They''re not going to give up Dawson solely for Ladhams.
If we get Melbourne's first they'll be something going back. Something like Ladhams + future second for Melbourne's future first.
Let's hope GWS come in late and offer 13, Ladhams obviously happy to move to Sydney.

I think the way the crom handled the Dawson trade will have Sydney pi***d off. So I am expecting them to stand firm with Port, they will not be bent over twice, so expect a packet of chips for Ladhams.

Maybe I will be proven wrong about Ladhams but I don't see him having much more than a Barnaby French type of career even if he is going to a good club like Sydney.
Under a better coach and system I think he will come on nicely, a young contracted ruck forward that we will regret losing.
I live in hope we stand firm on this and stick to what we have said all along.
That preliminary final was such a PW effort I don’t think the supporters could handle another one so soon.
