what a quality 24yr old uncontracted flanker gets Sydney should be a good yardstick for demanding for a quality contracted 23yr old ruck. At the least there shouldn’t be a big gap between what the two get.

O’Meara would be a great get but I thought he had a degenerative knee from his major injury early in his career. At 27 that knee is going to be reaching its use by date soon.

dawsons a damn good player, and at the age of 24 he’s been that for all of ten minutes.

he’s also out of contract and headed to a team with a early psd pick.

if Sydney can extract heaps more than port can extract for a contracted ruck, were just bad at negotiating.

yeah they’ll get more than we will likely get for Ladhams, but it shouldn’t be heaps more.

Will all those people who (a) want to lose so we get a new coach, (b) just say trades are irrelevant until we get a new coach/gameplan, just bugger off to the multiple “Sack Ken“ threads. I’m sick of it.

If you are really interested in the best interests of this club, you (a) always want us to win whether the coach is Hinkley, Pol Pot or Mark Ricciuto, (b) hope like hell that guy becomes a premiership coach in 2022.

There are threads for your dissatisfaction and loss of faith. This one is for making the playing group so strong Don Scott could coach us to a premiership.
