It’s a pisstake …. Fake fake fake. It was posted on a Facebook group and hour ago and nothing on twitter

Lol, fair enough.

I've used those fake tweet generators before, I should have known.

I demand a mega-trade! We haven’t had one of them for a while. Here is how I want this to go down: At least 6 clubs involved and a mind-boggling array of trades and pick swaps, each one crazier than the last.

And at the end, fans of every club claim they win the trade, pointing to random evidence that can’t possibly be tested because it involves waiting for years for a speculative gamble on pick 42 to pass through multiple hands for the next half decade until someone actually uses it as pick 71 in the 2026 draft.

Meanwhile, the AFL media will feast on the attention gained by headlines each more ridiculous than the last. Somehow some of those headlines will feature Collingwood who aren’t even involved in the trade.

As is tradition, the trade will be done in the last five minutes of trade week, resulting in a cascade of other trades that will leave everyone confused and at least one player actually ending up back where he started.

The end result will include Geelong having traded in a 40 year old and thus reducing their average age. Carlton will have managed to simultaneously trade and keep a player, resulting in said player instantly ceasing to exist. Essendon will be insisting they want two first rounders until someone politely reminds them they aren’t even involved in the trade. GWS will somehow end up with North’s first rounder for next year but North will claim they have a big fish coming in return. They don’t.

If the deal is 6 and a future second I would be filthy at the club. That is way under market value. That just can't happen.
Look at the Tim Kelly and Jeremy Cameron deals.
And neither of them have won a Brownlow medal.

Just a reminder to anyone who bagged Matho, he bleeds for the club. Unlike Neale who obviously used us for a quick payday and to score an easy Brownlow.

I'd be open to another player using us to score an easy Brownlow

"Score an easy Brownlow". What?

oh wee wow

I feel quite apathetic about it all really.

We've shown especially with our forwards its a team effort. The young guns are ripe to break out and demand a midfield spot, and if I may toot my own horn quite proudly, in the year review thread there's discussion about how we need to fix the spread of style of play in our midfield. If we do lose Neale, and move in the right replacement it could end up being a net positive. (sorry Matho, I don't think you're the unicorn horn we really need to make it work)

Happy with the work he did with us. He got a brownlow out of it so that's good for him too....;)

onwards and upwards.

He played in Fyfe's shadow at Fremantle, so he joined Brisbane where he could join a winning team while also being the main player. He was never winning a Brownlow at Fremantle, and he only won it here because he was surrounded by great players. Of course Neale Is a fantastic player, but Fyfe is better and he would kept Neale in the background.

This is quite honestly the dumbest thing I've seen. Sorry mate, but circumstances change in people's lives that don't revolve around just footy. Neale played his guts out everytime he ran out.

He joined us front ended contract and only leaving now. I don't see anyone protecting beams, nor should they protect Neale. I'm sure he has his reasons for wanting to leave, but it hurts the club immensely that he is doing it and it obviously shows how much he cares for the club.

Considering how he's played through multiple injuries this year when he could have walked off or held back, I don't think he's a guy who was here for a payday. With COVID and everything else at the moment, I don't begrudge the guy wanting to return home for a family situation. It just ends up sucking for us...

But it does show how much he cares for his wife?

I don't think you're old enough to understand external elements of football.
