Yeah like I said previously we can turn it into a positive if we get some good picks, however it may set us back a couple of years until the young blokes we have now are ready to shoulder the load full time and hit their peak.

The other option is, as others have said to stay in the window in the interim. That would probably require bringing in another top grade talent. If that doesn’t happen I don’t see how we don’t regress at least in the short term.

Lachie hasn't been great this season and I think the young guys, Bailey in particular is ready to play mid full-time. Could also open a full-time spot for McCluggage and the Starcevich switch.

Well signing Matho to a two year contract makes a lot more sense now. Though a Mathieson and Lyons midfield is just as one paced, and doesn’t offer any more defensive run.

If this is true, I can live with it, and wouldn’t necessarily go looking for a ready made replacement, unless we find one in free agency.

I also do not believe Neale’s value has gone up. Of course I would like as much as possible, but don’t believe 6 and 8 is a reasonable request, even if we’re sending 18 back.

6 plus a current or future second round pick would satisfy me.

If the deal is 6 and a future second I would be filthy at the club. That is way under market value. That just can't happen.
Look at the Tim Kelly and Jeremy Cameron deals.

This year we have both finals & the excitement of a draft thread. Boy oh boy. Wowee.
