Just having a quick gander at the draft selections from the Fox coverage (on Elijah Hollands via M.Ablett) & interesting to hear that CFC’s head of player development, Luke Power, states “that good players don’t walk”.
Keep your eyes out for this trait, if you’re allowed back into games &/or training in 2021.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. What do you mean?

EDIT - OK, I get it now. They don't walk in contest and run from one contes to another.....like Sam Walsh.
Loved the little we were allowed to see of Walsh in his first pre-season. (Bolton closed the gates on us way too often.)
Never seen a first year player outwork senior players the way he did. Great example of how to go about things.

That’s it. And there was mention on refining the patterns of S.Walsh as well from one of our coaches if I’m not mistaken (on his inside/outside roles).

Its a great theory and makes for a good statement. But there will always be players that can't run non stop. Even Juddy used to walk to catch his breath. Walsh is a freak and thats fantastic but we can't hold that as an absolute standard. No team could.

I think it’s more of point from the junior talent to consistent AFL impact. If it’s a natural trait, kudos, however if you drill it in from the development phases makes for a more involved AFL player.

Looking forward to the reserves standards next season. To be elite.

I noticed that too. Definitely seemed to be choosing his words more carefully for that bit.

Of course there could be any number of reasons for it, some of which you've mentioned. Others might include that Teague doesn't have as good a read on Stocker compared to other players right now because he missed all that time in the hub and they're only just back training. Or maybe someone behind the camera held up a sign just then asking Teague what he wanted for lunch and he got momentarily distracted weighing up the nachos vs the warm beef salad.
Part of it could also be that Stocker didn’t deal with the pressure of the the trade he was involved in so Teague may be be managing expectations to keep things easier for him. I speculate.

Mitch McGov looking in ripping nick. Also back in training early.
Really hope he fulfils his potential this year.
He has so much footy smarts and X factor.
Good pre season for him this year, injury free.
Be great to have him up and about.

Even though McNuggets is contracted, he surely knows his time is now to really focus on getting his body right and playing some decent footy.

Can you photoshop 5kg onto him so we can get a better idea of reality? Thanks

EDIT: Are we talking about McGovern or Cripps?

the lollipop heads in the photo are the giveaway - McGovern looks - not fat - similar to when he came back after his get fit program...he will never ever look 'cut'

lots of distortion with wider angle lenses - the picture doesn't give much of a clue really
Usually the distortion adds weight.

As far as Shoulders go, having had multiple shoulder surgeries, you lose muscle mass quickly when immobilised. It will return a couple of months into his gym work getting back to normal.

With the "train ons" that Austin said would be fighting it out for the last spot, is it just going to be Moore and other delisted players or are we Gunna try and get a look at some kids who didnt get the chance to play this year?
This is a great question. In a year where a decent “late maturing” 18 or 19 year old could be there to be picked at mid season draft to we hold fire on the train ons and have a good look at youngsters available in the mid season draft?

If we have a spate of injuries, are Oscar McDonald or Callum Moore going to be significantly better than someone on the list we could improvise with (say Jack Silvagni).

going off on a tangent now - but 59 kids drafted the other night, how many Victorians? How many Victorians were drafted in 2019? There could be a lot of untapped talent available at mid season.
