Who was mocking? All I saw were a few informed posters say it wouldn’t happen based on Lewis missing a game or two. Clearly that’s no longer the case…Lol at all the posters mocking suggestions that Jeka could be played as a forward AFTER the Lewis news.
I think we need to appreciate, whoever goes forward isn’t going to replace Lewis. We are going to have to get more contributions across the board. Hopefully it is the making of the forwardline
I think I can speak on behalf of most people who have been able to get to training that he has impressed.
No, I think we're about half past Frost o'clock. So has the conversation on key forwards reached Weddle being our saviour yet?
Sicily to CHF truely is the new Roughy to CHB. He's elite as a defender, most likely our next captain, with a developing midfield who may struggle at times to consistently provide good delivery into the forward line, and people are asking for him to be put forward? It's a development year, let's develop some of our young forward prospects.Kosi is already there.
Wouldn’t mind seeing Sicily playing CHF, as he started his career as a forward, now a better player, stronger, more mature, better game sense and would have learnt some tricks playing on the best forwards over the last couple of years.
I believe we have enough quality to cover him in the backline and are crying out for a quality forward
It worked for Pavlich and Chris Grant, both were champion backs before becoming champion forwards.
DGB is the other I wouldn’t mind being trialled up forward, has a great leap / grab, size, strength, determination, played forward as a youngster, now a couple years in the system and like Sicily would also have learnt some tricks having played on some of the leagues best forwards.
Nothing to lose in this development year.
Hale sounds like he bleeds brown and gold.Great to have David Hale back in the club.
Was one of my favourite players in the 3 peat era and looks like a shrewd operator as well
6’ 4, 95kg, can take a grab, powerful runner, nice kicking action ……… could he be our Winston Wolfe and solve problems! So has the conversation on key forwards reached Weddle being our saviour yet?
Extremely high footy iq, no suprise he and Sam had the midfield connection, will be interesting how the rucks work with the mids this year, expecting some special plays we haven’t seen yet…with a few tired kidsGreat to have David Hale back in the club.

I don't hate itStick Brockman in the square, ala Mark Williams
Collingwood last season played with zero KPF , i would be taking a close look at how they managed their forward set ups.
Bring on the small ballStick Brockman in the square, ala Mark Williams
Bring on the small ball

If he stays fit and plays 22 games as a forward 40+ goals should be a pass mark and we can then trade him for pick 2.I'm really interested in what the ramifications of playing forward will mean for Jeka. Hopefully he realises that this will likely make or break hi (as this year might have anyway). But now he doesn't get the easier option of playing with the ball coming to him and defending. Will be fun to watch if he does rise to the challenge!
I had this same thought when I heard they'd moved him forward at training. He's spent half of pre-season training at the other end. It's probably not the best preparation.I'm really interested in what the ramifications of playing forward will mean for Jeka.
