Lack of respect does not equal underdog.
You were ranked 3 in the preseason and never fell out of the top 3 all year. but yeah no one respected them or anything.

thats some Nick Saben PR spin.

So much for all that where hoping for a good game. 🥱
People might of been hoping for a close game, but realistically they knew it was never a fair matchup.

The game is showing the difference between recruiting and the athletes each school has.

Pretty much. Bowers is from Cali and there was a SI article about the SEC being so dominant. Bower's old man said in the article that after they went on a trip to 6 different schools on the east coast, Brock said he can't stay out west. It was just a different world in regards to college football- particularly at the SEC schools. That was then backed up by Washington, Ringo, and Macintosh who are from the west coast.

There is a reason why the SEC tend to dominate the recruiting classes.

TV coverage helps. and SEC is the most overexposed when it comes to TV. will be interesting to see how the Big10 changes after a few years on the new TV deal with Fox, NBC and CBS starts.

Everything has been about the SEC the last 10 years and recruiting has moved that way. the SEC did a good job is using the TV partners to make themselves bigger.

Bowers is a freak
Has all the attributes to dominate at NFL level as well.

Interesting to see where he goes in the draft when eligible as he still has 1 year left.
