Question for all of you fit, healthy types.
I’ve lost a vast amount of weight really quickly of late. Much too quickly. Not dieting - I’ve just suddenly lost my appetite months back. I think I’m hungry but within a couple of bites it feels yucky to eat and I can’t swallow any more. I’m too thin now. I was pleased for a bit because I discovered I can get into my pre-pandemic wardrobe again, but I suddenly realised while out at Bunnings that I’m going to have to buy a belt or my jeans will fall off.
I did the Dr thing last week and blood tests and all, and nothing has been spotted that could have caused this. I want to avoid appetite stimulant medication because it’s not very nice in lots of brain type ways.
So to start with I’m supposed to try eating multiple small meals and somewhat counter-intuitively go to the gym more frequently. No cardio. I’ve had to stop running for a bit because of the rapid weight loss and I’m also weaker so can’t run as far anyway. I’m meant to start weights and functional training to restore muscle as I try to eat more. I’ve been referred a PT & nutrition specialist to help with this.
I want to stay slender but not gaunt like I am now, and get a bit stronger. Has anyone had to do this? Do you have any suggestions for diet and or particular exercises?

if you're finding it hard to eat PG, you may want to look into protein powders to help you gain weight. i used them before combined with doing a weights program and they worked pretty well for me. they can also taste pretty good with various flavours like chocolate and vanilla. i used them mixed with milk, but you can also use water or a milk alternative if you're lactose intolerant or just don't like milk.
there are a heap of different ones out there though, and not all of them are good for you long term and might damage your kidneys etc. so maybe go to a supplement store or a chemist and tell them what you're looking for and ask plenty of questions about any health effects they might have. or maybe even visit a health/herbal store first and see if they have any natural alternatives that can help.
