Yeah I liked Carter in the under 16’s but he really didn’t step up this year in the under 18’s.

Though he never really got much of a chance in the centre and I wonder if he just doesn’t know how to impact outside of being onball yet.

Has the physical gifts for the game but I thought there was a massive lack of workrate to get to contests this year so hopefully he addresses that in the off-season and comes out next year full of fire. Needs to watch how Ryan runs from contest to contest if he wants to make it.

Yeah there is nothing about his makeup that I am aware of that suggests it will happen but I've been wrong before. Yeah how to describe Kobe and his work rate ect. I reckon the best description of him is more than almost anyone I've seen he just goes where the ball is!!! Zero inefficient running. He was phenomenal last night and certainly gave a little **** you to the selectors who didn't take him to Perth!

There’s another sanfl u17s futures game tomorrow I believe at thebby oval - who are the ones to watch? Should be similar teams to last week I’d assume

Anyone have the team sheets ?

I asked about it and it was the same teams as the previous game.

Team listings can be found a page or 2 back and will be treated as an Excel doco.

Billy Dowling the one to take out of last night. He has been injured for a lot of the year but he absolutely dominated the first half, Kobe Ryan style, before he run out of puff. I had him around 18 or 19 touches and a goal at half time playing centre forward. He will surprise a few next year as a really good size mid/forward.

This is my current top 5 from each championship side (with the note that I haven't got any notes on 2022 tassie prospects), the Allies is a tricky one because Gander is there on athletic potential, but there's 4-5 others (Angus Curry - GWS, Ravi Schofield - Brisbane, Dayne Posthuma - GWS, Jared Eckersley - Suns, Riley McMillan - Lions) that are pushing that final spot, but the top 4 is pretty set for me
ould love to see Sheezel move onto the ball next year. Very crafty forward with strong hands but could be an Awsome hybrid.

I’ll have my top 20 out on Thursday, some unlucky names missing out which may surprise.

This fella won’t be in it but want to make a note of him, Anthony Munkara who is an Essendon NGA player has lit up the SA school football competition this year and currently playing great footy in the NTFL and drawing comparisons to Joel Jeffrey. Looking likely with the new NGA rules that Essendon will miss out.

Keeler only goes that high if he wants to go that high and he doesn't want it enough at this stage. If he really wanted to knuckle down has the talent to be 1 but not looking likely he goes really high at this stage. On talent alone he's hard to match.
How is he linked with Adelaide?

Any theories as to why the chargers have turned into a foot factory?

I hear tac teams have lost a lot of staff
Their area includes the YJFL (arguably the strongest junior league in the state), a chunk of the SMJFL (arguably second strongest) and a lot of private schools like Scotch and Wesley boarding houses

Success begets success as well - kids like Bailey Laurie were moved into the area to get into what was perceived to be the best program.

This year will see the final running of the AF U15 batch of games with next year seeing the renaming of U15 to U14 but the U12's will continue.

The bulk of these kids were born in 2004.

Will Ashcroft (Marcus.)

This group of players will be eligible for the 2022 AFL Draft.
Three players who have bolted into draft contention since these games were played;

Riley Voulanas
(mid/forward)- very quick and skilled, this kid is a real X factor. can kick well on both sides of his body and has a high work rate. a member of the Collingwood NGA, he has recently won his league A grade best and fairest from a limited amount of games
Will Tanner (key defender)- tall defender who reads the play very well. has shown the ability to lock down as well as leave his man to intercept. is excellent overhead as shown in his Oakleigh Chargers matches
Harry Flynn (midfielder)- tough inside midfielder who wins his own ball. also can go forward and impact the scoreboard. has debuted for the north ringwood seniors (premier efnl) and didn't look out of place

Could be correct, however not one of these players were in the metro or country side for either of the 2 games

I hear u18s teams have lost a lot of staff too recently / afl new mandatory rules
lots of kids move into that area as it is seen as the strongest club. as well a good portion of the big footy private schools are within the Oakleigh Chargers zone
