Most draft watchers have the draft thinning out at pick 30, but watch shifter Sheehan talk up every player as the next Pendlebury or Patrick Cripps.

Wouldn't be too upset about it guys. Vickery is as speculative as it gets, Swans taking a pretty big risk with him this early. Probably the last type of player we need too.
exactly, not fussed when they take them this far ahead.

The risk is all theirs.

PCI 31 James Van Es plays like Robbie Tarrant
(poor kid)

And its great. Its the biggest night of these kids lives, even the ones drafted at the end, Sheehan's positivity is in the spirit.

Imagine your kid is drafted at #60 and Sheehan straight away says 'hmm, he's a bit shit'.

I wonder how the club rated/compared Weddle to Cowan, Michalanney and Ryan, who are all somewhat similar.
Mchalanney being father son not really in the picture but in terms of comparison Weddle tested better than all of them in the main combine tests. He was in top 10 and even top few for most tests. Plus he can play a variety of positions. Not really comparable. I'd say Allan was the closest alternative.
