I noticed him in the pre season scratchy but noone was talking about him, then he either didn't play or only played the last qrtr in the pre season so thought he won't debut
Bevo is shocking with rookies though, they are always in and out, massive danger of losing money as medi-sub as he is a very skinny lad

Jones looked good in PS game 1, but then didn't really feature in PS game 2. As mentioned elsewhere, it's a risk...

What’s everyone’s D6,7,8?
I’m currently running with McCartin Gibcus and Boyd but want to replace Boyd as I don’t think his job security is very good. Also don’t want De Koning as his job security is also no good. Want someone who can sit in D8 and don’t have to worry about trading him for at least a few rounds.

Think I’m going to change Boyd to Hamling, can anyone clarify Hamling’s JS? I think I remember hearing he’s got decent JS but just won’t score well
Here are my thoughts on Boyd.
Boyd was drafted as a mid-season SSP signing last year and then retained on the list. Was not in a sniff of the league side last year and was, for my mind, the 45th or 46th player on the list and unlikely ever to get a game.
However, Voss has now taken over. In that time, Boyd has played various intra-club matches and both the pre-season scratchy and official pre-season game.
This is a clean slate for Carlton in terms of Best 22 makeup as we have a completely new coach and team selection panel.
If Boyd is selected Round 1, there is obviously something they like about him, and people should feel comfortable backing in that job security, at least until Stocker is available - which won't be till round 3 or 4. Same with Durdin.
That being said, I don't think he will be selected.

Depends on the restructure.
Currently not in the B22. A few weeks away from full fitness.
With Tabs and potentially Lobb out, there's a chance that Cox goes forward, and Hamling comes in to replace him in the backline.
It's also possible that Ryan, Pearce and Logue can cover for a few weeks until the forwards return, and Hammer stays in the reserves. Unfortunately our game is the Sunday, so even extended benches won't say much. Possible he travels anyway as cover in case of Covid.
Sorry I couldn't help, and probably just made things murkier
McCartin, De Koning and O'Driscoll as a DNP loop option as it stands. Mitchell Cox from the Lions intrigues as a possible option too given Coleman's injury. Might chuck W. Kelly in as my ute as a further back-up but not sure - depends on teams.
I don't really understand people picking Gibcus - high-priced rookie KPD playing for a side gunning for finals doesn't scream Fantasy-friendly pick to me. I'll admit the options are pretty thin down there though!

It’s ****ed. Just don’t know what other options there are. From what I’ve heard it seems Gibcus has pretty good JS considering the holes in Richmond’s defence. As a Geelong supporter, I can say that I have little faith De Koning will stay in the side for consecutive weeks, even if he is named Round 1 I would still be discouraged to pick him. I feel like as soon as Geelong lose a game he will get dropped and be in-and-out of the side throughout the season; that goes for Stephens as well… Just be wary.
I honestly forgot about having a DNP option so O’Driscoll not a bad shout for that spot.
Still don’t know who to put D7 if I drop Gibcus then…
