Trades 2022 Fantasy - Round 6 Trades

After mulling over my trades, and the fact that I wouldn’t be able to get a worthwhile premo in with the money I had, I decided to do a boring double downgrade bench trade.

Connor Mac to McComb

Durdin to Rosas

Gives me $334k to work with next week and that will help in getting actual upgrades in.

Not really keen on Lyons Bont or b crouch. Have put Parish in at the minute as I feel they will respond after being exposed for their defensive efforts last weekend and he’ll tackle a bit more then normal.

Obviously all good picks but keen to hear some alternative views

Oliver / Walsh tie first. I like Oliver.
Then Mills but id have him as an avoid with his injuries.
Titch I like eventually but not yet so wait for him to get cheaper and for the young hawks to burn out.
Parish no. Dons are an avoid other than rooks.

Both were great but seem like better supercoach players. Don’t know why that puts me off them at this point but like you say they are very obvious hey haha Are they top 8 again?

Titch role was back in the second half on the weekend. Will wait for a few more 100’s though before pouncing

Now you say it. I hate watching Essendon, parish had medal fever last year which has me interested for Anzac Day but they’re in horrific form. The only thing I like is Merrett and stringer back to free him up a bit more. Also like wash and Oliver he seems more of a supercoach premo though.

Of all of them mills is probably the biggest pig. He scores so easily. Hits the combined 10 mark/tackle numbers most weeks which is a huge indicator for premo mids in fantasy. 3% so decent pod and maybe the highest upside in terms of fantasy scoring? Only issue is that achillies but hasn’t missed any footy this year and has scored 2 tons in a row

Rowell is a higher priority than Crouch IMO but if you need to go Crouch out to get up to a premium then no issues there. You could also go Rachele down who’s close to maxed and get Rowell up, then Mead out next week who’s not going to lose any cash and Crouch up then.

Yeah i need Crouch out for 847k. But i don't mind the Rachele downgrade and Rowell out which leaves me with 916k, but to who.
I still like Cripps Crouch and Neale?
Maybe i give Cripps a week and hopefully he drops a little

Spread pretty well currently.
In terms of premos/keepers

Round 12 6
Round 13 5 before the trade (English is going)
Round 14 4

So avoiding round 12 guys is probably the safest bet? Rules out Walsh and Parish

Side note: Just gave the Traders podcast a listen, due to the craziness of team reveals...and now I wish I hadn't.

As if we didn't have enough f*cking gambling advertising in the footy world, now they're talking about what bets they're placing and what money they're looking to make. It's also a regular segment, rather than a one off as well. Already disliked them, but now they can get right in the f*cking bin. Difference with their show is, that a lot of kids play this game too. Wonder what kind of example Roy is setting to his 8 year old by normalizing gambling on his own podcast.

Might sound like I'm overreacting, but this is turning into a goddamn epidemic. If kids, younger people or even just your average joe think that fantasy is part and parcel with gambling - then how is this not going to normalize the behaviour even more?

P.S. pretty sure Tom Morris was the voiceover for the betting ad on their podcast too...which just rubs even more salt into the already festering wound that is this faux par of a podcast.

Just to add onto this.

I have noticed in the last 12 months of going to the footy, a large increase in people cheering on their multi's rather than a specific team. Had a dockers fan at the derby a few weeks ago lose his shit quite loudly because one of the legs in his multi failed. There seemed to be no interest in the actual game itself.

Had Walsh in my starting squad pre-injury - but I need to get my bye structure sorted. Chapman missing for Freo has meant I've gone up to Bailey Smith this week - but same bye as Mills.

To be fair this is me but for Fantasy. Whoever said that gambling on the AFL fantasy podcast is ridiculous is absolutely spot on and as someone who used to gamble more than I should have actually cringes when people talk about their multis etc. Fantasy for life!

If he hits 120 and 5+ tackles im back interested. If it’s underwhelming with no tackles again I fear he drops to 800k or less and doesn’t even go near 100. His floor is bad in the current role and we need him tackling again

Sub Daicos to the backline for Noddy and upgrade Bowey next week and your backs are basically complete.
