another interesting trade is

Parker/Zorko for Rowell then swing forward or back once someone taps out

Oliver and Touk have one more week then their BE drops

Bailey Smith 95 TOG surely that drops eventually

I like this trade

I’m on Touk watch for next week
If he hits 120 and 5+ tackles im back interested. If it’s underwhelming with no tackles again I fear he drops to 800k or less and doesn’t even go near 100. His floor is bad in the current role and we need him tackling again
He's my plan for next week for JHF

I'm d=tossing up between Oliver, Mills and Walsh.

Thinking Mills this week and then Oliver next purely based on BEs.

Then I need to focus on the defence.

Preuss owners must be sweating...

Your backup in English is gone.
Dixon gone.
Hayes (Saint) likely gone next week.
Flynn stays in this week sharing ruck duties...

..... tick tock goes the ruck clock.

....If only owning Grundy instead wasn't worse I could get up on this high chair over here....
Worse case scenario though is a straight swap from Preuss to Grundy when the latter shows consistent form. Grundy's b/e is still 129 and Preuss has money to make. The gap between the two in terms of price won't be excessive.

Side note: Just gave the Traders podcast a listen, due to the craziness of team reveals...and now I wish I hadn't.

As if we didn't have enough f*cking gambling advertising in the footy world, now they're talking about what bets they're placing and what money they're looking to make. It's also a regular segment, rather than a one off as well. Already disliked them, but now they can get right in the f*cking bin. Difference with their show is, that a lot of kids play this game too. Wonder what kind of example Roy is setting to his 8 year old by normalizing gambling on his own podcast.

Might sound like I'm overreacting, but this is turning into a goddamn epidemic. If kids, younger people or even just your average joe think that fantasy is part and parcel with gambling - then how is this not going to normalize the behaviour even more?

Absolute f*cking joke.

P.S. pretty sure Tom Morris was the voiceover for the betting ad on their podcast too...which just rubs even more salt into the already festering wound that is this faux par of a podcast.

I just do small YT stuff for SC and I don't even let YT run gambling ads on my videos, let alone doing paid segments - I get many people enjoy a punt and can 'gamble responsibly' but the number of Aussies with gambling problems is astonishing. I can also understand the temptation just to do that stuff (especially if it means making a livable wage off fantasy sports + rest of AFL already does it)

Something like ~400 Aussies a year commit suicide due to gambling problems, circa 1 a day. Problem gamblers ~15 times higher risk of suicide and that is without going into the social cost of gambling or other problems that come along with it (such as domestic violence).

Just cannot justify exposing kids to this stuff. For what its worth, YT thinks less then 3% of my audience is under 18 (more people 55-64 watch apparently), but that may just be because many younger people lie about their age when they make accounts.

Mmm but this isn't some gambling ad that says 'gamble responsibly at the end' and is geared towards older people - it's a podcast revolving around a fantasy AFL game that all ages play, and which has no regulation around its content. It might seem harmless, but when a kid or a teenager hears that these representatives of the game are also placing bets on the game to 'make it more fun'...then what's stopping stopping a kid or a teen making that link of 'oh, well if I want to have even MORE fun, I guess I should place a bet'?

I know I sound like I'm overreacting, but I'm just so sick of it all. It's one thing to hear it 50 times in between every AFL game on Kayo or free to air, and also at the start of every AFL.com.au segment, however, it's another to have it seeping into podcasts and areas of society that literally that have nothing to do with gambling at all.

I mean, that's the beauty of fantasy football...the only thing you risk is your emotions when things go well, or they completely go to sh*t. It's all just fictitious and doesn't affect the real world, your financials or those around you. Gambling, however, can completely destroy your life and is classed as a form of addiction. It's becoming endemic now, the way it's just normalized - and I for one am just so f*cking tired of how commonplace it's now become...that a podcast about fantasy football can now become a platform to entice even more people into the insidious world of addictive gambling.
It's a sad place our government has let us get to when kids under 10 can tell you about sports betting and don't even watch sport.

Unfortunately, it's about brand awareness, and the BS about "gamble responsibly" will have as little effect as "drink responsibly" has.

What do we think the chances of Mead coming back in again are? He did play when Wines was in before but Amon surely comes back in before Mead.

Is the consensus to hold or trade English?
1 week hold 2 or 3 trade

Unfortunately can't see them coming out tomorrow morning saying these were the results

Which rookie scores more

Hayes
O'Driscoll
Rachelle

Interesting most Bulldogs score poorly at Mars
i'm starting NOD regardless

but i'm putting the E on j.hayes and using dixon loophole if he scores well

but realistically its all a toss up ahahah

same haha I dont have any dots to loop

Hearing that NOD could be playing sweeper without Young Chappy and Ryan

i really liked what i saw from NOD last week, even if he didnt score massively.... i think he looks like he will be consistent scorer... he can find the ball
plus according to the stats he is their best kicker

Waiting on Preuss to decide ongoing plans. Could roll Dixon on field as a loop so this would be the end of Grundy.

Not necessarily hoping for it - kinda want the Gawndy combo to be dominant with those fielding Preuss, English etc..
But if the opportunity arises I may have to take it.

I would expect Tucker, Walker and even Mundy to step up on half back. NOD too good as a winger, especially when we are up against Walsh etc..

What's your line? My trades are literally going to come down to how well Preuss goes. If he scores 80+ it'll be hard to justify keeping Grundy.

I kinda think grundy will come good, but i'm hoping a few more weeks of spudding it so that i'll have time to jump from preuss to grundy

ive got Chapman and English problems...

im thinking of just holding English and just play Hayes for this week and re assess once we get more info on him. But also want to see Grundy this week and see if its something i can jump on.

But Chapman down will be to a midfield rookie which ill need to play on field.... Any Suggestions? Hobbs, McComb any others?

and then which is the priority out, Crouch, Caldwell or JHF for my second trade?

Just to add onto this.

I have noticed in the last 12 months of going to the footy, a large increase in people cheering on their multi's rather than a specific team. Had a dockers fan at the derby a few weeks ago lose his shit quite loudly because one of the legs in his multi failed. There seemed to be no interest in the actual game itself.
Well he's a dockers fan so...
