The luck I’ve had this year is ridiculous. Witherden tops it all off after I finally have my first half decent week all year.
Trade plans are thrown out the window just like they have been every round this year. Going to end the season with 3 or 4 rooks at this rate.

Why would you trade him? He is probably only going to be out for a week.
Your team is going to stagnate big time if you do sideways trades every time a player misses a week. Just cover them for the week and continue improving your squad (ie. turning rookies into premos)

Those are actually really decent trades (though you could hold him and bring in someone cheaper if possible too), as shitty as the situation is - and it is really shitty. I feel you. Not one of my trade ins have been successful the first week, and every single thing keeps going wrong, preventing me from doing what I want to do.
Literally 5 decisions that have broken my season - Hayes and N. Martin loops Round 1, which i couldn't do given my bench structure. Jelly over Brayshaw at the start of the season. Duncan instead of Stewart when I had the choice 3 weeks back. Smith in, instead of Crisp 2 weeks ago. Being unable to get Mills and Clark last week, and getting Rozee instead. I had all the other forced crap like Cripps, McInerney, Preuss, Xerri and Hall (who was a decent unique before he was gone for a 50 due to a hammy - but that's fantasy and shit happens).
Now some of these might pan out, but along with other loops for bench rookies, it's been like pushing shit up hill for weeks, lol. Hard to imagine that my rank is somewhat ok given the above, but this season is just a big pile of 'meh' given none of my uniques have panned out, forced trades, bad loop scores (except Captaincy has been decent) and my side has none of the best semi uniques/players like Mills, Keays, Miller, Crisp, Doch and Brayshaw.
Completely feel where you're coming from re: this season, but my advice is, just make your trades, check out and then make a real charge during the byes as that's the only time people really start making substantial changes.

Haha SDK isnt cover though that's the problem. Guy could get a 20 and i wouldnt be suprised. My defence if anyone misses a week im trading.

I held Hewett last week and played SDK on field. Got lucky with a 50, can’t risk that again

SDK is my cover though. Using a trade to go Witho to Short gains me 70+ points this week and I’m not sure Witho gets near bridging that gap on Short for the rest of the season. Can’t risk a 30 on field.

Same. I meant hewett out as in didnt play. We were blessed with a 50 my friend. Felt like a 100 coming from SDK. We already won the lotto once wont temp fate again

I think JHF can go one more week without losing too much value (if any), so Rachelle out is a better call IMHO.
Personally, I wouldn't be going Parker as I don't trust the scoring consistency.
My plan is to only trade in keepers or rookies. Your problem is that there aren't many Keeper FWDs other than the ones you already have. Maybe Parker, Treloar, Dylan Moore or at a pinch Rozee, at least until English is back.
Based on that, I would just sit on my FWD line for now and look to get a keeper somewhere else. You can do the JHF to Touk or similar, but if you want to have a punt, maybe go Rachelle to Preuss and roll with Hayes at R3 and Huge Dixon FWD for a week, knowing that he will probably be #1 ruck for the Eagles this week. Leaves you with about 280K in the bank for next week.
Of course, you could always just go Xerri to Preuss, leaving you about 110K in the bank, and then Rachelle to Carrol, which would leave you 238 for next week. Again, means rolling with either Dixon or MacDonald on the field.
