Starting to actually amass a fair few PODS now (under 10%), which will be nice if they all fire in the one week (not bloody likely, haha):

C. Curnow
Parker
Dunc
D. Cameron (probably won't stay a POD)
Jelly
L. McDonald
Rozee

About a third of my starting 22, and given I'll bring in Guth soon, and also possibly Zorko, Salem, Wines and S. Berry, more than half my team could be PODS coming out of the byes - which is a nice change! :)

Everyone of my Pods has fired - misfired that is! :cautiousv1:
until i trade them out and then they turn into unicorns somehow.

Oh trust me, I'm kinda the same - except they all suck the first week I get them in, and then go BANG 1-3 weeks later, haha. Only one who didn't was Preuss the week I got him in (Week 3 and was still a POD then), where he got a 105. Neale got an 86 the week I got him, after going 145 the week previous.

These are my trade ins, (mostly PODS) and their scores for that week:

Round 2: Sicily - 79
Round 3: Neale - 86
Round 3: Preuss - 108
Round 4: C. Curnow - 69
Round 5: Mitch Duncan - 79
Round 6: Bailey Smith - 92
Round 7: Connor Rozee - 74
Round 8: Luke Parker - 84
Round 8: Jack Crisp - 111

As you can see, it's pretty much become a running joke how bad my first week trade ins are...but then they seem to come good eventually, haha. Just seems to be patience and perseverance (nearly traded out Dunc this week given my 3 week rule, but gave him 1 more week because he's my favourite fantasy player in the game - and was duly rewarded).

None of the scores above are inherently bad, but pretty much nearly every score is worse than the score they got the week before (like literally everyone except for Preuss). So much patience required in this game, and holding your nerve even when you think they have to go. Literally the only time I'm trading premos now, is when I think they've had a permanent role change (Cogs) - or they've fallen off a cliff/have someone a lot to cheaper to replace them with, with a similar output (Grundy/Preuss)

This is interesting - haven't thought to look at this recently.
Surprisingly had more than I thought, using the same metric of 10% ownership being a POD.

Docherty
Stewart
Mills
Darcy
JDG
Cameron

Good to see a bit of differential isn't meaning you are that far off the pack this year

This was my team for Round 8. Bit of a newbie here, but can you trade a player on game day eg on a Saturday or Sunday if one of your listed players is a withdraw?

I am particular referring to the Xerri who didnt play.
It's rolling lockout, so absolutely you can (as long as you still have 1 trade remaining).

I.e. North played on Friday but Xerri didn't, but first match was between the Dogs and Port at 7:30. As long as you make that trade of Xerri before 8:30 (even at 8:29), then you can still trade him out even though the round has already technically 'started.'

Hope that helps, and team is looking good! Although, price order might be something you wanna do, otherwise TedDougChris will start coming after you :p

This weeks Unicorn Jye Caldwell, started with him and finally able to get rid this week and bang he hits is highest score for the last month.

I started with Tom Mitchell's poo and traded him out after 3 shit scores 89, 98, 87 and then he goes 130, 94, 109, I figure he's bottomed out.
Get him back in and he drops 103 & 51. A fun game this is.

Turns out Parker rolled his ankle which explains why he was so shit after half time. Was on track for 120 which would have been nice on debut for us but we can't go having that can we.

Hurt a lot less (for me) when Touk and Mills went 92 and 76 - was about to explode when they started getting off the leash a bit. Is he alright now, or will he miss this week (Parker)?

Parker should be fine.

Gawn on the other hand.. if he's done a PCL like Grundy I'm legit about to stop caring

Wish Cameron was a FWD/RUCK. Why the hell is he just a forward?

Guess I could hope Dixon gets named.. moving Dixon sideways to Hayes just feels stupid.

None other than Ryder was the cause too. The campaigner won't be happy until he's soiled the entire ruck department this year.

Seriously.. they need to start wearing knee pads on the knee they charge in with. Nothing that restricts running just a small one so the impact is pad on pad instead of bone on bone. You'd think the medicos sitting there getting paid millions would have figured that out by now after the 10th ruck went down with the exact same injury.

The only saving grace, is that like Hewett, he's owned by pretty much the entire comp. That's nuts though if he goes down - will flip the entire season on its head

Asked why he hadn’t taken the shot at goal from outside 50 he said: “That was literally 30 seconds after I hurt my knee, so I wasn’t going to be able to make the distance which I was hoping one of my teammates sort of caught on but they didn’t.”

“(I played on) because it was fine, it got better and better as the game went on.”

Sounds to me like he'll be ok, but he'll either be rested or played forward for at least the next two matches. Huge decision to make here...

Fingers crossed it's nothing. At this stage no trade and copping Hayes for a week would be a blessing.

Sitting on 200k which was going towards an upgrade to Oliver. These days you just get dicked for planning ahead.

Mmm, my biggest concern though, is that they have Jackson who they want to give minutes to - so they can literally plop Gawn forward or rest him - as much as they like. If he does play, it's far worse than if he's rested, as his price will plummet very quickly.

Honestly, the only way around it is if you get a really decent second ruck who is also a forward (English is a prime candidate), and also get another guy like Darcy Cameron who'll get Ruck status in Round 12 - and use someone like Dixon as a loophole so you can E Gawn every time - whilst looping Cameron forward with another cheapish guy who will score well from the bench like Berry.

If he has a good game - switch Dixon into R2/if he has a bad game switch English into R2 and bring Cameron/Berry on field.

Sounds like far too much work for one guy, and if there is any doubt, I'll honestly probably just trade him rather than running that gauntlet.
