Connor Rozee was talking about Josh Carr freshening up the midfield by running a few more of the young players through there.

Love how I said this, then just watched Koch's speech with his whole "We don't rebuild, we're not going to use that excuse" philosophy.I base my acceptance of our performance on a club that's truly having a crack. Honestly we're not even trying. The board and footy department are just keen to stay competitive and avoid bottoming out. We're good enough not to be bad, so they expect our supporter base to be content and happy, it's infuriating.
Gotta be prepared to risk it for the biscuit. I'd rather finish dead last giving a new coach a crack, than continuing to finish mid table with Hinkley.
Last year was an aberration where the previous two years we made Prelims.Love how I said this, then just watched Koch's speech with his whole "We don't rebuild, we're not going to use that excuse" philosophy.
I don't give a s**t if we rebuild. If you aren't first you're last. Need to at least be trying to be the best, perceiving mid table as a win should not be acceptable.
The prelims we're COVID affected years where we benefitted heavily. Absolutely smoked by the top teams, we had a great run of injuries and lucked out with the draw. There's no doubt that the 2 prelims we're likely more of an aberration than the 2022 season which closely aligns to the trend line of results we've had for a long time.Last year was an aberration where the previous two years we made Prelims.
With more depth and an easier draw I expect to play finals and, hopefully another Prelim.
I want Ken gone but I will not give up on the club & players

Anyone know if it's open training in the morning? Cheers
Definitely.
If you have a look at the Koch and Hinkley years, generally we have been a downhill skiing team beating on average and poor side but when the going gets tough, we capitulate very quickly. We usually finish mid table around 8 to 11 and because of lack of accountability which is still here to this day. I blame this not only on the coaching staff but also the senior players who look very comfortable. The two aberrations is the first two years where you have a new coach with new energy and ideas and I think we get an 8th and a 5th. And also during Covid, it seems like the senior members of the playing group seize the opportunity to try and take a last run on a Premiership. To their credit, they band together and just lose to Richmond in the Prelim as they just want it more. This gives the team great impetus for another chance the next year and when they set their minds to it, they do well but are embarrassed by the Bulldogs. This is why the fire in the belly remark from Jonas really irks me from our captain as you can see they went for it when they thought it was possible but after two failures and two years of getting older, the fire just wasn't there but the paycheck is. And for all other Koch and Hinkley seasons, stability in mid-table mediocrity.
Interestingly, the other team that is similar in that time is the Western Bulldogs who are mediocre pretty much except when they jag one.
Take out the Covid years and we are deplorably stable in failure.
I'd suggest boot studder - but he lacks the passion for the club requiredHinkley does nothing at trauning. Stands to the side talking to whomever. If only we can get him out of the box and keep him away from the huddle as well.
Looks good JontsRioli Jr has tricks
Can he make Hinkley disappear?Rioli Jr has tricks
Sub-3 minutes for a 1km time trial is elite running ... From a 2m tall giraffe, it is amazing!Bassett being interviewed just mentioned K Marshall ran a 2:51 second 1km time trial today
That is ******* elite. Even before you put in the how fast is it for a bloke 2m tall
Ridiculously quick
I read the colon as a decimal point at first, 1km in 2.51 seconds certainly would have been elite.Bassett being interviewed just mentioned K Marshall ran a 2:51 second 1km time trial today

Scully impressed
Kyle Marshall looked pretty good too. Speaking of Marshall, didn't see the Todd variety today.Sheesh did he ever. He's got some sticky mitts and stood up well wrestling n jostling with Charlie who looks short of a gallop.
Sinn was moving freely and knows how to hit the body when tackling. Jackson Mead looks in ripper nick all credit to him hope he makes it.
Brynn is a smooth mover and like you say Ollie Lord was busy. The guy is a good size and too good to be withering on the vine.
Not sure Finny's completely over that knee clash in the last showdown. Butters Rozee and Farrell were all busy and looking good.
^ is all random thoughts and others who were there this morning will fill in any gaps. A good session with lots to like.
I'll finish where I started... sheesh Tom Scully was eye catching.
Unfortunately, Lycett looks pretty sore and struggled with the running.
