In the field, if you catch and fall to the ground....same call would occur to be fair....you have to survive the ground to establish possession.

But we're not talking about in field, we're talking about the end zone.

Literally, the point of the ball only needs to sniff the outside of the goal line, and its called a TD.

But two feet down, knee down, elbow down, AFTER completing a catch, and it's not a TD.

That is not a rule that makes sense.

There've been a million examples in the past of similar "surely a TD catch" in the endzone that were overruled or not called due to that rule nuance. It's certainly frustrating, i understand.

Yeah, as I said, the rule as it is, called correctly, no issues.

But its easier to score a TD from outside the endzone, than it is if the player is inside. That seems a bit backwards to me.

Though I've always found it funny, in Rugby its called a try and you have to touch it down to score, but in NFL its called a Touchdown and you only have to try to cross the line to score!

In rugby the term Try originates from the fact a Try used to only mean a "try for a shot at goal"....which was THE way to score points, regarded as more important. A not so quite "fun" fact.

That was another ugly win. Well i had us at 3-1 going to London but had the Vikings a win and Bucs a loss.

Next week feels like a trap game, long road trip against a team who on paper should be a comfortable win.

A wins a win in the end, but definitely not pretty.

Defense gave up far too much given the offense we played. Just weren't switched on, but did enough at the right times.

Offense was putrid (Jones the only pass) in the first half, but reliable in the second. Good to see Watson get a TD, but last I checked we drafted him to catch balls...

Defense is hot or cold. Gary played like a DPOTY in the first half then barely did anything in the 2nd.

Rodgers was about as bad as he gets today, missing easy throws all game. Im not sure anything will come out of the win, just wallpaper over the cracks and thats normally a bad thing that comes back to bite us hard.

Gee this KC offense is fun to watch.
Andy Reid has the dirtiest football pr0n folder.

He has some crazy plays from college that were used once over 10 years ago, and all kinds of crazy things.

Just imagine how crazy it would be to see a closed practice for KC.

Surely you save some if this stuff for playoffs???

Makes me wonder what they have up their sleeve!
You could run that again this season and still catch someone if you run it Dec/Jan.

f**kin LOL. Brady snaps the ball before his own man gets off the field.

I dont think i have ever seen a team snap the ball quick and get caught with 12-men on O

Gotta be more aware... thats all on Brady. Not that it mattered though.

I think if it was any other team [or outside 2mins] the refs call an injury timeout. They tried to save Tom a timeout.
