The best diamond players are good to have but you can't get to 22 players without about 15 base metal types.

I'd be minimising the pressure at this point. They're going to get slapped by it real soonFirst
First year players should have no pressure unless you are top 10 but 2 and 3 year players will start to get pressure to debut and that's fair

Preseason Stanley fluff among the Ceglar and Miers news.

Yeah Rhys you could be the #1 ruck... and yes you need to be more consistent.... but none of this is news.

What is it 8 years on the list now and still can't get the difference between the best and worst low enough to hold the # 1 spot.

I truly hope by wk 11 he has taken this post and shoved it right up my clakka...but i fear it will just be more of the same.

I will credit him however last year with getting better but its almost too late.

He'll never be a Otto but we could do worse. Happy he's apparently fit.

I hope he's feeling the hot breath of Tsap and Conway on the back of his neck.

They are 2 years away only ceglar is breathing down his neck.

If Ceglar and Stanley stay fit , one would think that the younger guys would be hard pressed to get a game ...although I do look forward to see some VFL games. It would be encouraging if their form has their name being mentioned. Id think for such a big young guy , they will tread lightly with Conway.

105 games in , 8th year ... and he is still a dice roll. He has been a good trade in but I doubt anything changes. He will continue to give outstanding games and some games where he is almost empty jumper.

And Ceglar's injured before the season's even started.. I wonder if Esava has been practising his ruck craft over the summer? We may need to call on someone outside of Rhys and Jonathon to step in early doors.
..
What would be our Depth Chart in Ruck?
Stanley
Ceglar
Esava?
Tsap
Conway?
Neale?
SDK?

If both of the top two are injured/unavailable/out of form, who is next in line? I presume Esava.. I would love to see one of the young specialists get some games this yr.

Esavas ruck craft better be improved then because last year it was very ordinary.

Sounds like ceglar should be back fairly early on anyway.

It was only an arthroscope, so I dare say it's only a 2-3 week injury. He should be fine for pre-season games.

Sav can practice ruck all he wants, if he can't run out most of a game there he can't play 1st ruck. I would tell him to run kms first.
