Few people in here playing with fire not starting JHF. Just pick him and sleep easy. We’ve already seen him get KOTD action from CD in the pre season - he doesn’t need many touches to score well.

He has 68% ownership with the best JS in a season where good rookies with good JS are scarce. It’s inevitable that he has a few huge games (he has Hawthorn round 1) and makes a bunch of money - if that happens and you don’t have him you’re at a huge disadvantage over the rest of the competition.

Even if you don’t think he’ll score well you need to pick him based on ownership and JS alone. 68% is huge and could potentially be season ending if you don’t have him.

I personally don’t think JHF is going to turn a corner and be a season ending decision that hurts you by not picking him. He will play every week and have some rippers but his average will fall somewhere between 70-75. That’s the going rate for a high half forward #1 pick in a putrid team imo

I think you’re forgetting we are a Cunnington and an Anderson short until the bye so he’ll be playing more mid minutes than we would like.

Nobody knows but for me he is a way to make cash and trade up to best available later in the year

The same reason GAJ used to be midonly every year despite spending most of his time forward, the same reason guys like Bont and Fyfe never get forward eligibility; because for some reason Champion Data like to manipulate things so the guys who would be really obvious picks if they were forwards are left as midonly.

Can always plug an average into tooserious, but JHF is the type of player that has a big ton+ score in him.

I have toyed going without, but the upside he presents in any given game scares me off going through with it.

A big 130 and he kick starts some great cash gen.

Hawks, Eagles RD 1&2.

The rookies look like a mess. The midfield is the only line I feel comfortable starting a number of guys, but even then I can't see many cheap bench options. I feel like you have to pay up to grab the guys with the best JS so that you're not stuck with a bunch of duds on the bench by round 4

Seems a nice even draw

Real question is - which of the 4 has scope to increase by an average of 10sc points

Grundy will 99% be in your team at the end of the year, barring injury.

Fair chance others won’t be. Save a trade.
