NOD. Plus being a DPP and a price where you can do most rookie corrections. If you are strapped for cash Dean likely plays when his foot as recovered, so at his price point can't be ignored. Not sure what that timeline is.

Dean’s JS was linked to the Roughead injury; he may not play if they both return at a similar time, particularly with Howe fit for R1

I might still start JHF but it would involve having him and Ward at M8/9 which seems ridiculous.

Current mids are 4 SP Rowell Berry Daicos Ward with three 123k or less on the bench, which I’m pretty confident we will get.
I have never done anything like this but right now I have absolutely loaded up in the midfield.

4 super premiums, Neale and then those three uber rookies + 3 x $123k - $102k rookies to round it out.

As was mentioned elsewhere, with Covid wiping out so much footy in the last two years, SC is probably meaning we lean towards guys who are ready to play. This includes those over priced rookies like JHF, Daicos, Gibcus, Sinn.

The basement priced guys will be like gold this year and 100% be the difference between moving up quickly and not imho.

If you can afford JHF on the bench you could consider Preuss at the same price. You start one week behind in cash generation but he seems to have a bigger scoring upside. Daicos and Ward are accumulators whereas JHF will mainly rely on the ball coming forward. Supply matters if you are principally a forward, even if you can tackle. Rachele could struggle too for the same reason, particularly with the Laird injury.

I currently have Durdin, J Hayes, H Dixon, K Baldwin and N Martin as on-field/bench rookies and I need to make room for Rachelle. Who should I drop?

there is something in the sentiment however JHF is a competitor with a licence to create

Also - no Cunnington or Anderson for 3+ months - so is he as forward as we think? Sure we have Greenwood, Jy and LDU but we will need rotations

Do you think both Baldwin and Martin play?

Probably best to see who is named.
For certain.
If I have to guess right now though Dixon is the worst of those rookies.
Maybe not the worst for JS. Dunno until teams really for that.

TT, Philips, Powell as well. Of course JHF will get his opportunity but so will those guys as well.

Yeah with Darling out for a month Dixon should be ok. $102k rook's only need one good score to make money.

For those who haven't seen it. Why?
Each time his name was expected to be called out and didn’t the emotion started build. Was at his managers house so there were a few in the room, including Connor McDonald and when his name was called out everyone was going off….he would’ve felt like shit. They didn’t exactly come rushing over to comfort him either. Worth a look.

If I were choosing either Dixon or Baldwin surely you take the guy with much better upside.

The pros far outweigh the cons with Dixon compared to Baldwin.

Dixon is a DPP, more mature (23 v 20) and his job security appears much more secure with the injuries to the depleted Eagles side looking for players to stay on the park.
